This food is made with love and passion!
First off, I must say that I never leave reviews but I knew after dining here that I had to leave a review because there was no way I couldn’t. The owners; Moe and Sue touched our bellies and our souls! Support this small business! You will not regret it. My sister and I had a little extra time before we had a meeting with the funeral home, to make arrangements to put father to rest. We stopped in for some Mediterranean cuisine and what we thought a light lunch. When we walked in we were warmly welcomed by owners father and mother, Moe and Sue. We ordered and talked to these lovely people during our lunch. The enthusiasm they had about their food and the quality-homemade everything! Even the sauces. Suddenly, we felt like we were eating with family. The love and passion for food and people by Moe and Sue Under our circumstances, You can imagine how much this meant to us. As they were being their sweet, normal selves, they had no idea how they touched our souls. Did I mention the food? It’s the best in the entire Toledo area. We ordered; fried kibbie, hummus, and tried rice and a grape leaf. The kibbie was out of this world! In my 40 years, I’ve never had any other kibbie that was even close! The tazio was homemade by Mrs. Sue herself. The hummus is easily the best in the state of Ohio! The rice-fresh vegetables and Sooo much flavor! Grape leaf-I’ve never liked grape leaves until I tried this grape leaf. It was absolutely wonderful. Hand rolled, so juicy, and FRESH! Everything was so flavorful and fresh. Homemade! The prices were so reasonable. Their prices were much less then others and the food quality was MUCH higher. The other Mediterranean restaurants don’t hold a candle to them! If you want the best Mediterranean in the area, the freshest, excellent prices, generous portions, and to support the sweetest family you’ll ever encounter, you must try here!. You will not regret it! It may become your family favorite as it is ours now. Thank you for feeding our bellies and our souls today. At the time, you had no idea how much your kindness meant to us as we were in deep grief over the loss of our father. We will be ordering...
Read moreBeyond expectations!! :) My husband and I went here expecting it to be the old place that had been at this location for years. I remembered that it was always good and the food never disappointed. When we got there, I realized the name had changed, and it looked updated but still Mediterranean in style. So I asked and the very sweet owner, and she said they just opened a couple months ago and renewed the place with their own flair and authentic home recipes. The atmosphere was amazing, definitely better and more authentic Mediterranean cuisine than before! The tabbouleh was beyond fantastic as it was always good made by the previous owner, but now it’s great and the owner said she makes it fresh upon each order! The husband and wife team are very friendly and treated us like family right away. The classic “original gyro” definitely was on point and authentic to the core. Super fast service. Clean. Definitely will...
Read moreI ordered for pickup while I was in the area, showing up knowing it wouldn’t be ready by then let the proprietor know i was there. i was then berated for showing up early. confused i went to wait in the car. when the app said the order was ready i went in to retrieve. again confronted by the person making some thumb gesture at me, telling me to confirm it had picked up the order, which isnt something you can do.
it occurs to me now that the person thought i was a dasher and felt comfortable being rude and aggressive. nevermind the concept of every visitor is a potential customer, where does this person get off treating people like that? he wasn't busy, in fact the complete opposite.
the food is mediocre, same stuff you can get from any number of places in town. it’s not bad, but it definitely isn’t worth the drive or...
