Sanctuary — Local services in Maynard

I can't say enough good things about Sanctuary to describe how beautiful their space is and how wonderful they made my wedding! We held our ceremony and reception there in June 2022 with about 100 guests. The space is gorgeous. Its updated to a modern style, but maintains the original (non-religious) stained glass windows. The bar and stage bring the space to the next level. All of our guests raved about how it felt like they were at a concert and couldn't stop dancing! The house lighting options helped set and change the mood throughout the evening. The staff were so helpful and accommodating throughout the planning process and during the event itself. They made sure all the small details were in place and skillfully transitioned the room from ceremony to reception in about 20 minutes. We held our son's Bar Mitzvah party at Sanctuary and couldn't have asked for a better experience! The venue is gorgeous - definitely not your run of the mill hotel banquet room. Between the tall ceilings, surrounding stained glass windows, controllable lighting, and the tranquil and secluded bar room, the physical space accommodated our guests perfectly (so many of whom mentioned how beautiful the venue was!). Will and Liz went out of their way to ensure that both we and our vendors had all we needed both before and during the event. Their staff, including bartenders, were welcoming to our guests, and parking was plentiful on street and in adjacent lots. I frequently go to Sanctuary and this last time wasn't that great. The show was Song Garden and Stone Temple Posers (incidentally they are very good). This time there was a VERY disruptive attendee, she was either drunk, crazy or high. It was handled somewhat poorly, she made multiple scenes and it was clear to me that despite the number of staff present they should have had a police officer on-site. She was screaming at people waving her arms around and very disruptive. A cop would have tossed her out or arrested her. Instead she was a constant distraction.
