I just had the worst experience at JCPenney La Plaza Mall McAllen, TX with a member of management by the name of Megan Hanson. I came to return some adaptive shorts I purchased for my mother who happens to be in a wheelchair. The adaptive clothing is made specifically for people with disabilities. I was over 9 days on the new 60 day return policy JCPenney now has. They gave me a store credit for less than the item. I asked to speak to a manager so I could offer feedback about this policy and how they may want to include exceptions to the policy, example for people with mobility issues. Megan Hanson was not only dismissive of my feedback but extremely rude. I told her the difference in price was not my concern. My concern was about maybe this policy needing to be reviewed for this type of clothing and customer exceptions. Megan kept on telling me that policy is policy and that she cannot do anything to change that. I told her I understood policy. What I needed from her as a member of management was to take my feedback and bubble it up to see if anything could be revised. She very sarcastically replied that my feedback would have to be bubbled up to about 4 different managers and her demeanor was so belittling that I just thanked her for her time and that she could go back to do whatever she was doing before she came over. I really hope that either the cashier that heard my concern or even Megan herself reflects on my words and brings this up to see if anything can be revised or updated in the new...
Read moreI have been to this store many times and always the store is clean and all of the associates that I've talked to were very polite, nice and helpful. Plus you can almost always find one close by. Not having to hunt one down is always a good bonus in my book. Also this is one of the only places that I have found that you will still find an ok supply of BIG & TALL men's wear, other than the few little shops that you pay a premium price. I don't feel like I should have to pay $60 to $120 for shirts, shorts, or pants because I'm a BIG & TALL person. I can get shirts, shorts, or pants from JCPenney's for $5 to $20. I am a 3XLT & 4XLT with a 44 waist & 34 length. Which are also hard to come by and though they don't have a bunch they do have some. I'm also not into the A+ premium brands. I don't care what Tom Cruise or Justin Bieber, etc. is wearing. I just want something that fits. They are always having sales and specials. Plus they have quite a bit more online for us BIG...
Read moreHadnât been here for a while, but when I checked out the gentleman that was in the register, light brown skin, wears glasses, with the long sleeve untucked, never called me to go ahead and approach the register, he was busy doing something else. When I looked at him he just nodded at me, so I approached him. Then after finishing ringing me up, he told me to help him remove the hangers from my shirts, since I told him that I didnât want the hangers. He was just standing looking at me removing the hangers. I donât know what type of new service this is, but next time just do a self checkout if the employees are going to be with an attitude, donât need that kind of approach from the EMPLOYEES of Jcpenny, what a way...
