I stayed here for a dental trip to Mexico to get my teeth fixed. I needed a quiet, comfortable, inexpensive place to recooperate after getting invasive dental work done. This little gem really fit like a glove. ||||The bed was comfortable, they've had a recent remodel; a little painting on the outside trim area (doors) was still ongoing while I was here. Once I figured out where to park, getting to the elevator and to my room was a snap. Thank you to the maintenance man for helping me (the painter)!||A couple of solid hand/bath soaps provided, tp, kitchen towel and wash rag as well as full set of pots & pans with pancake turner, large spoon for cooking, plates and large bowls (cereal etc) as well as colander, coffee mugs and regular drink glass. Fridge came in handy w freezer. Cooktop w 2 burners. Bring dawn and a sponge with flip scratch on back for washing dishes. Bring paper towels for easy clean ups. Coffee maker and 1 packet each of the regular and decaf provided with sweetener (fake and real).||||Joel was extremely helpful and pleasant (management team). He needs to be promoted.||||This property is well run. Even with covid ongoing, and typical Studio 6 only gives once to twice a week maid service..The MORNING AFTER I got here, a maid came and serviced my room. It was so nice coming back from invasive dental work to a nice room with fresh towels, a made bed, the bathroom cleaned, surfaces wiped down. Very unexpected and surprising. I have since encountered the maid twice and wonderful service! They are in hallways daily so if you need something, just stop by their cart and ask.||||Oh and the air conditioning is excellent!!||||The single flaw I found was that my tv could not connect to the cable. Hence no in room TV. That was not a real issue for me since I have satellite TV on my phone. I just watched it on my phone while here.||||The location is excellent. Across the street/around the corner from Starbucks, Chick Filet, IHOP and Red Lobster directly behind. It was pretty much a straight shot from here to Mexican border. Take highway in front, exit 1015 and you're there.||||My stay was very pleasant. I plan to come...
Read moreDo not come here expecting a Motel 6 experience. Been here 3 weeks. Its 318 per week. It does have roaches. The infestation on roaches is why I gave th hem a 2 star. I see the roaches in the hallways on the walls, and in my room too. There are ants on the creamers and sugars in the lobby. It is like studio apartment only in hotel form. No shampoos, no housekeeping but twice a week. And then they will not do your room like is done in a hotel, unless you detail each item you want done in your room. You would have to say, in spanish, ( I can't speak it,so we get very little srvices) I need coffee, more cups, toilet paper, Towels, sheets blankets, clean the toilet, clean the tub, clean the sink, please sweep, mop, and please give me more trash bags to place in trash cans ,on the days you do not come by the room. They hand you sheets IF you ask for them,on the two days a week they come by. But you do your own beds.It is the most affordable stay in this area. They supply Towels. But you have to exchange them... no daily changes put forth by them. Sometimes the rooms are musty. The first floor is noisy. We had a broken faucet. They repaired it. We had a leaking air conditioner they cleaned it out. We had a sink leaking, we had repair it. They never responded to our report on that,or the roaches. They have a laundry room as affordable as the laundry mats. Being a 1.50 per load and 1.25 per drier load. They supply quarters if you have cash. The service staff is polite. They are honest about their pricing...
Read moreTHEY HAVE ROACHES, 2nd night here, I turned on bathroom light and there were 4 roaches scurrying around. We were treated as if we were college kids in a dorm and the receptionist was our room mother instead of paying guests in our 60s at a hotel!! We checked in for a 9 day stay on a Friday and were told to pick 2 days of that timeframe for housekeeping. We checked into 1st room, which we happened to be the one we stayed in 2 weeks prior. At that time. the toilet handle and toilet seat were loose and broken, we told the receptionist at check out, upon returning, it was still broken and we requested a different room. We also asked for 2 extra pillows, the ones provided are excessively flat. We were told we could only have one extra pillow even though the last stay we were allowed 2. We also asked for extra towels considering housekeeping would not come until Monday and were told no and that we would have to wait for housekeeping. I'm paying you for the services of a hotel on a nightly basis, not on a every 4th night basis. We should be given the choice to have housekeeping daily not have it dictated to us as we pay for those services on a nightly basis. There are a bunch of other hotel options near the airport and I suggest staying there even if the price is a bit higher. I'm sure they respect their paying guests instead of treating them as an inconvenience that gives them...
