Ojos Locos Sports Cantina (McAllen, TX) — Restaurant in McAllen

You know...i had been in ojos locos in san Antonio before..wasn't impressed.. That was like 8 years ago... Cleavage was proper...but i have always been a straight shooter when it comes to giving reviews and their service at that place..at that time..were not good... Forward to 2022...McAllen Texas..my hometown... I had passed by and saw the franchise had landed in our town..told the ball n chain we should try it out... Last night was a ppv in both mma and boxing...so there was a charge of 25$ per person...i cheerfully paid it..as it would weed out unwanted freeloaders... I was blown away by the beautiful setup with large sliding garage doors that would open and let the fresh outside ambience into the electrifying place... The Menu was superb...the food was superb..and the beautiful ladies running around in gstrings did not disappoint either... This is my opinion...if i was to go to a bar/eatery place...i could care less about Cleavage if service and food quality was gonna take a back seat..(kind why i only went to hooters twice 😒😒)... Well..i was impressed with the hostess knowledge of every platter and beer was cold as my first xwife..frigid!! And as full as the place was..service didn't tank...it was a great experience!! So yes..its easy to give this place a 5 star review... Women..if u don't want ur hubbys eyes to wonder off into strange ladies gstrings ..don't come😅😅😅..but if ur open minded and u know ur man won't wonder off with the waitress...then by all means...the food is wonderful..pricing is proper(we threw down 120$ including tip..plus the 50$ for ppv fight...Glad it doesn't happen but once every 3 months😯😯😯..

Went to this place to see if it was all the hype. As usual I give my most honest opinion/review. My coworkers and I went here on a Sunday evening/night. Liked the fact that there was Cops on duty as security. They pat one down for weapons as you enter. Liked the fact it is friendly for service dogs. Handicap parking.. access into the building with ramps. Music is loud. This place has a club vibe, sports bar and hooters wrapped up in one. Difference? The female staff, bartenders n waitresses are showing way more. Name of business states just that.. crazy eyes.. Your eyes do wonder from the girls to the TV n back. I personally. Our waitress was adorable. I won't put her name but she tended to us swiftly. Friendly.. smiling.. Food. This part I will put my coworkers opinions and my own. Two of my coworkers ordered the 4 taco plate with rice n beans. According to them. Beans tasted burnt. Very little meat for the price. 11+ for their plates. We ordered quesadillas n nachos to compensate for the small tacos. My other coworker and I ordered the chicken sandwiches. He stated he enjoyed his. Price is roughly the same. In my opinion if I'm going to pay that much I better get my money's worth. My lemon pepper chicken sandwich was delicious. Lemon pepper was not over bearing. The coleslaw was on point. Good amount of fries. No one complained about their drinks. I ordered a dos.xx.rita now that was delicious. I even ordered a Pink Taco shot. Superb. Very smooth. I look forward to...

Hands down, absolutely unmatched, undisputed WORST service I’ve ever had period. We were seated and not even attended ONCE by any waitress whatsoever for 2 hours. The waitresses are way way WAY too preoccupied with the men at the bar, while they’re clearly already being helped by the bartenders. If I could leave Zero stars I would but sadly Google won’t let me. Had to continuously get up to get drinks from the bar and walk back to our table. When asking the waitresses nearby for help they continuously told us, “someone will be with you shortly”. When asking who our waitress was the answer was always “uhhhh…. I don’t know.” The tables to our right AND our left were were served with zero issue, while some tables even had 2 to sometimes 3 waitresses at a time. We even had to get and go to the bar and ask for the check… TWICE. In all honesty we could’ve walked out and not even paid and NO ONE would’ve even noticed. Why I even left a tip is beyond me, for who even!? You’re definitely better off going to anywhere else cause again, all the waitresses care about is finding a new baby daddy. No, it wasn’t even busy, we were seated within 5 min and forgotten in even less time than that on a Tuesday night. Starting to look a lot like Tilted Kilt 2.0...
