Michaels — Local services in McAllen

I recently visited this Michael’s location to return an item I purchased just two days prior. Before coming in, I checked the store’s return policy online, which stated that a return could be processed without a receipt as long as I provided a valid ID and the card used for the purchase.

When I arrived, the staff member asked if I had the receipt, to which I replied no. She then asked if I had a rewards account, which I also didn’t have. However, I came prepared with the purchase details from Apple Pay, showing the date, amount, and store location.

When she tried to process the return, the system showed a refund of $17, even though I had paid $22. I showed her the proof, but instead of helping, she became rude and insisted I must have bought something else, even though I clearly explained that I had only purchased the one item. She mentioned a 30% discount that supposedly applied if I had bought something else, but again, that was not the case.

In the end, I only received $19 back on my card, which is better than nothing, but the entire experience was unnecessarily frustrating. The employee’s attitude and unwillingness to assist made the situation worse. I won’t be returning to this Michael’s location again due to the unhelpful staff and poor...

Beautiful and eye catching crafty items but kinda expensive. Also I saw a customer with a dog in his hands. Didn't look like a service dog to me???...Wat if it got loose n bit someone or someone's allergic?...Didn't like that one bit. And he was in front of a cashier n they didn't say anything to him. Don't get me wrong I love animals, but they shouldn't be allowed inside a business unless they are a service animal. Overall, I had a good time searching for items and was even helped by a handsome fellow who works there. He was attentive, helping, and sweet. Great worker. Items are beautiful but be prepared to pay a pretty penny and also be prepared to wait in a long line. Took forever for me to pay for 4 items. Lines...

I went to the framing department to find 2 frames for 2 antique samplers that I just purchased. The gentleman in the framing department could not have been nicer or more helpful. He didn't push items or finishes that I did not need. He suggested 2 frames and helped me with mounting ideas. I told him the samplers were approx. 130 years old but were not in the greatest shape. I did not want to purchase costly framing and he was extremely helpful. I love the neighborhood atmosphere of Michaels (not too big or overwhelming). You know exactly where items are and can...
