Edit: I am taking this down from a 4 to a 2. I made a return visit to even more disappointment. I have never seen so many things wrong with a room. I have added over 25 photos/videos. Stained carpets and doors throughout the room, heavy dust build-up on air conditioning filters, missing and crooked knobs on drawers (many of which are completely unscrewed), damaged and deteriorating furniture, cracked walls and extensive rust on metal fixtures including air vents and fire sprinklers, a thermostat partially detached from the wall, a shower head that is not secured and shower doors that cannot be opened, peeling wallpaper and mismatched paint patches on walls and ceilings, a television that is too large for the space and cannot be viewed comfortably from the bed, a bathroom that is nearly inaccessible due to poor door placement and size constraints, the patio door does not lock, the wardrobe has no hangers, the hair dryer does not work and is filthy, and concerning structural damage visible on the exterior including major cracks and signs of foundation shifting. What is your Ops Manager even doing?! What is the GM doing!!? Most of these issues can be remedied, while some need to be addressed by corporate. And because none of it was addressed from my last review, I’ll help you out and send my own email to corporate in hopes that someone will care enough to make a change.
Original review: After coming from a stay at the DoubleTree in Corpus, anything was going to be an improvement. I really enjoyed this hotel from the service to the layout to parking and the room. Room was a large suite that was perfectly cold! I couldnt have asked for better AC! Lots of room to move around, until you get to the bathroom. Not sure why it was made so small when the room is so big. The toilet takes up half the counter access and is in the way to access the shower valve. This part definitely needs a redesign. Something I didn’t notice on the first night that I noticed in the second was all these red stains on the carpet. I took a picture of each one. Some were pretty large, too. And they covered the entire suite. Of course my mind goes straight to “am I in a murder room?!” I never inquired cause deep down I didn’t want to know. But now you know! So maybe take a steam cleaner to this room so people don’t think there’s horrible ghosts. But I would definitely...
Read moreI have negative and positive things to say about my 4 night stay. When I made the reservation on the 1-800 number, I requested highest floor available with balcony. The operator reviewed all the info before giving me my confirmation number. She clearly mention all the amenities to me and one of them was the breakfast. When I arrived the check in process was fast, they gave me a room in the 8th floor so I was happy with that but was told the breakfast was NOT included! 😡 I go to my room and to my surprise it had no balcony! 😒 I go back to the front desk and the clerk that I had check in with was busy so I go to the other clerk. I think her name was Iris or some name that started with an I, super helpful young girl!! 👍🏻 She apologized and gave me a room on the 9th floor with balcony. 😊 Awesome room, only thing is I found a key at a very visible area on the floor. 😒 Saturday night I found a cricket in the restroom, which I thought I killed but to my surprise later on it kept on making so much noise it didn't let me sleep well. The thing is I could not find it! 😒 We also went down stairs one of the nights to have some drinks at the bar, big mistake! 😡 It took around 10 minutes for a lady to take our order, a budlight and a frozen margarita. She brings the drinks a big while later and my drink was on the rocks! 😡 After calling her several times I let her know and she changes my drink. Again! We had no attention from either one of the 2 waitresses so my husband needs to get up so he can ask for the tab to pay up, NOT good! 😡 Check out was fast and was offered cookies 😊 By the same girl that switch my room at check in. The reason why I'm giving 4 stars is because of the girl at the front desk being so helpful. But the fact that I did not get the breakfast and the service at the bar still has me wondering if I should stay there again. I am a Hilton honors silver member and have stayed at this...
Read moreMy family and I reserved this location for Thanksgiving weekend. Due to weather my husband was delayed and we could not make it our first night. I spoke to the manager, and she kindly said she understood. The issue at that point was that we are honor members and used points... the points we used did not cover the whole reservation. Due to this issue, she could not adjust it on her end. I have to call the honors phone number, and they assisted, but we had to do some funky stuff in order to get it taken care of for us to switch our dates. I did not like the solution but it sort of worked out for us.
We arrived to the hotel, it is so cold out, and we requested a crib, a crib was not there, we called for it, took about an hr and my husband had to go get it. Our room was at 64, and mind you, we have a baby, 6 months at the time. Cant use blankets.... so we bundled him as much as we could safely. The next day we brought it up to them that our heater was not working, they said they would look into it. We arrived late, and ready for our baby to go to bed, and the heater was still not working. We did not make a scene, we let it be. our room once again was 64. very cold for a baby....
The next day checking out i confirmed with the front desk about the charges, to make sure we would only charged for one of the reservations, like i had agreed with the manager, she reassured me, and i made sure to tell her that our heater still did not work, and that it was not a pleasant stay at ALL. she smiled, and was a little dismissive.
I called later to get a refund because, sure enough we got charged for both reservations, and she was only able to refund me partially.
Using their honor points is not luxury, or benefit, We paid much more than we wanted to, and the customer service was lacking quality. Thanks but no thanks for this place again. Even...
