I have thought a lot about this post but I have decided to write it. I love this store but I cringe every time I have to go to the butcher department. The gentleman behind the counter are not nice, they do not want to help you and they act like when you speak to them you are bothering them. I went first thing this morning because the prime rib was on sale. When I got to the department all of the pre-packaged bone-in prime rib 4 bones clear wrap had been ripped open. I knew I had to go to the butcher to ask if there was some in the back that were not opened. Every time I have to stand there and wait for them to acknowledge me. I was the one there. The guy behind the counter who usually wears a cloth mask covering his nose all the way down his neck finally asked if he could help me. I told him my situation and he said I can wrap those for you and I said could you please check in the back for ones that have not been ripped open. I knew he didn’t wanna go back there but he did and when he came back he came back with a prime rib that was completely full of fat. So instead of asking him to take it back to find one that wasn’t as fatty. I just waited and finally a lady brought one back and grabbed that one. I would also like to point out that all the others were still ripped open and they did not get covered before left and I was there for an hour. It is strange to me because it’s only that department that is not pleasant everywhere else in this entire store people are nice and asked if they can help. My suggestion would be if you don’t want to be in that department anymore please go somewhere else. I cannot be the only person they’re treating this way. And it’s not just this time it’s every time I go to the butcher department. I don’t expect anything to be done I just want to vent because I’m tired of cringing every time I go to the butcher department. So I just go to To a different grocery store.( picture below is of the one he brought out) I would also like to point out he didn’t ask which brand of meat...
Read moreSadly, I have not had a great experience with the florist at Market St., McKinney.
Wedding: The buttonholes I ordered were given to us for free as they have messed up the order and were not ready when I went in to collect them. I'd rather have zero stress and pay for my flowers than turn up to collect them, be told they were not ready, then lose my mind, have a complete internal dicky fit, collect 5 more grey hairs whilst smiling and trying to stop the steam from escaping from my eyeballs whilst I wait for the flustered florist to complete my order.
Today, I called to cancel the bouquet which my Father in law ordered for my mother, post surgery. Two days after the order was placed my 80 yo FIL was sadly very disappointed our flowers had yet to arrive. After I made a call in with the manager, she gracefully gifted the flowers to us and kinda, sorta apologised. The flowers arrived about 10 mins ago. They are insipid and stuffed in a vase with 8 stems of filler greenery. Not pretty, not cheerful, just sad.
I would recommend you save your hard earned money, keep your stress levels and grey hair count low and shop for bouquets and boutonniere flowers elsewhere.
Update: Unbeknownst to me, my husband ordered and paid for a boutonnière and corsage for his date tonight at the local Daddy & daughter dance. He just went to collect it. They’d misplaced the order and it wasn’t even started, let alone...
Read moreThe most pleasant and convenient and reasonably priced premium grocery store! My family and I love Market Street. They have our favorite in-store ready to eat and to order food, such as their breakfast bowls, plates, salad bar, barbecue, wings, hot sandwiches and premium burgers. We love their sushi station, our family pick for fresh, tasty and reasonably priced take out sushi. We also love their bakery and fresh produce departments, try the amazing fruit tart or lemon cake, cookies and muffins. The staff are very helpful and go out of their way to assist in any way, including taking your cart to your car and returning the cart to the store. They also have areas to eat both downstairs and upstairs. Very comfortable and welcoming upstairs, especially. And, they also put on cooking classes seasonally in their classroom upstairs. If you need a gift, they also have a gift store, and a fantastic floral and balloon department. We get balloons and flowers there all the time. Oh, and we also use their great pharmacy and health supplement departments all the time. Can't say enough about the fantastic staff, they always take the time to help, if needed. We love coming here for groceries and beyond, take out and just to hang out with friends and family over a meal. Love Market Street and have enjoyed this great store for over 16 years in our community and will continue for...
