I went in with a Michael Kors watch that I bought at Ross to see if they were able to make the plastic band smaller. I don't like wearing watches as bracelets. Well, a beautiful blue eyed man (Kurt Russel or Patrick Swayze?) took one look at it and removed a little piece from the end. I had to laugh that it was so simple. But, it was still a little too loose, so I asked he could remove a plastic link. If he could, I was expecting to leave it there and pick it up at a later date. Well, he came back out within just a few minutes and had it done. Fits beautifully. Extra pieces were put in a little bag. And no charge. After that I was going to look around to purchase something and then realized that they had it all covered up and were ready to leave for the day. I recently had a watch stop working that was very personal to me. I went online to find a jeweler that I felt comfortable taking it to and one that I could use for future repairs and jewelry purchases. After reading a lot of reviews, I decided to take it to My Diamond Shoppe in McKinney. All the reviews I had read stated how personable and professional the owners of the shop had been. I found their reviews to be 100 percent truthful. Just as I had thought, the battery in my watch had gone bad. While waiting as a new battery was being installed and speaking with the owners, I became completely comfortable that I could bring future jewelry there to be repaired and purchase jewelry with a feeling that I was getting honest value.

Buyer beware - Debbie is the worst. I will never go here again. It's no wonder why they have an F on the BBB website, Bought an engagement ring for my fiancé with sizing included in the price. When my fiancé showed up to get it sized Debbie tried to charge her for the sizing. Then they sized it wrong. After getting the size corrected on the second go around, they ruined the ring. The ring is cracked, the prongs are melted to the ring, one sapphire is chipped and the other one is gashed so both need replacing now. Looks like horrible soldering on the sides. I have never been screwed over so bad in my life. I can't say enough bad things about this place. Save yourself some time and money and go...
