AJ Nails — Local services in Mebane

No stars, but they wouldn't let me choose that option... POOR POOR POOR CUSTOMER SERVICE!! I have been a faithful customer with AJ's for years (before pumpkin moved to iNail & they hired all these new people). I like for dragon to do my nails because the other employees are terrible. My gel polish usually would last me 2-3 weeks, now they last 2-3 days. I'm not sure if it's the kind of polish or what. They WERE usually good about fixing them for free. I went in a few days after my polish started chipping & done the usual, pick out my color & wait to be assisted. I'm sitting for 10 minutes & an employee says "you do know that we are closed" (it's 7:15 & mind you I've been there like 10 minutes...&&&& they don't close until 7:30 per their signage) I looked at the door to make sure I wasn't mistaken & before I could say anything he rudely said "we take our last customer at 7:00". Again I've been a faithful customer for some time & never heard of that policy, EVER. I've walked in at 7:20 and have gotten serviced. Him and I exchanged words due to his rudeness & them trying to tell me that pumpkin (who no longer works there, but did my nails there that one Friday because they were extremely busy) didn't do my nails because she doesn't work there. That made me even more mad because if this is your job you should have been more aware of what's going on. No she doesn't work there, but yes she did my nails that Friday because it was packed & Dragon could attest to that. Every time I go back people always ask me why I go because they have gotten worse & it's only because I was being lazy. It was like 2 minutes from my house. This is a response to Tanisha Torain's very poor review. I was also a customer there as well on the day that it happened. She also failed to report the fact that she was 86 from the shop for misconduct and foul language while there were minors there from the age of 12 and under. She failed to report the fact that the police had to come and remove her from the property. There is also a report for her stealing property from the establishment. She has a larceny charge for theft of product from the establishment and if nobody believes that the report number is 2016 - 01238. pumpkin does not work at establishment anymore but she came in one day just to help Dragon . She had also claimed that she came in prior to that day about five days earlier on a Friday. This person just wants to come in for free service and the workers have said that she likes to come in after everything days to say that the mail is chipped and she just wants free service. This woman is a very cheap person and she is a con artist. So before anybody leaves this person you need to check out a police report number. She is no longer allowed on the establishment. The people are actually very nice and courteous and very willing to help but I do know that their policy is that they do not except walk in customers after 7 o'clock . Yes the sign does say that they close at 7:30 but they do say that they except last walk-ins at seven . Dragon is a wonderful person then there is Phoenix and then lion and zebra they all worked very hard and treat us very well every time we come in and we are never rushed out the door like other salons . Have been here twice before. Great impression at first, thank you Dragon. Second visit, I was charged because the manicurist charged me for their mistake. Had said "not squared, not pointed" and they didn't hear that, so I was charged for their incompetence. Friday, I was running 3 minutes late... due to a 40ish-car train... I called and told them this... they asked where I was and how long. I walked in, there were three employees clearly still will customers having been there for over 45 min. A person came in AFTER me without appt. and they nearly helped her before me!!!

Then there was the price! $15-20 more than last time. Asked why... told me they had to file my nails, blah, blah, what goes with a manicuret! It was so much more than more local salons. I am from the other coast...a location much more upscale than Mebane, NC. Nope, not again. This salon is large and not very busy......
