Sweet Grace Market at Melville Trading Company — Local services in Mebane

I was looking for a credenza for my dining room and another antique store owner recommended I check out Melville. I ended up finding a solid mahogany credenza/buffet for a very reasonable price. The piece is in very good condition. Excellent condition for its age. I also bought a little ceramic elephant and a vintage glass ball that I put in my bird bath. All are in very good condition and all were fairly priced in my opinion. The staff were super friendly and polite. They loaded the credenza into the back of my SUV. They wrapped my breakable items in newspaper and bubble wrap. They even gave me extra bubble wrap to protect the credenza as they noticed my car already had some "treasures" in it from another antique store. This is a great shop for browsing. It is mostly vintage items and antiques, but there are other kinds of things for sale like crystals and handmade NC "home" signs. I guess it depends on who is renting the space. I bought something here while visiting our families in NC! When I got back to Virginia Beach and went to light it up realized it was missing the bottom from it so it wouldn't light up! I called and talked to Lisa and she told me to text her pictures of the item and she would see what she wouldn't do. She texted me to say she found the item and was mailing me the missing piece! I would never ever go back there again and I do not recommend anyone else to go there either my daughter and I went in today to look around didn't find anything we wanted and left we got two blocks away and the police stopped us because the owner called the cops on my daughter and myself and told them we were stealing after being searched by the police and they found nothing they let us go but before they did the police officers told me that the owner has called them on many many people all the time If you want the police to be called on you then by all means go...
