Mulch volcanoes, highly detrimental to trees, are prevalent at this arboretum. We moved here a year ago and are upset at the lack of a certified arborist to manage the care of the Barton Arboretum’s magnificent trees. It is distressing to see that a lawn mowing crew with no experience in the care of trees is burying the trees under ever increasing piles...

The worst so called arboretum I've ever seen. It's a senior living community with nice landscaping and a couple trails. It's "open to the public" because it's just an ungated senior living community. Suspect it's a tax write off with fake Nature Center that has a pool table. Probably a boondoggle by developers. Don't bother visiting, unless your...

Great place for young and old to hike the trails, see birds, canoe and learn Nature in general. Stop by and pick up map at the front desk of Medford Leas. Young or old. Medford Leas is a CCRC for Folk over 65.( Continuing Care Retirement Community )A great place to live and enjoy your retirement life.. I know moved in at 72 and now 91...
