I like the place. Like any other salon the stylist talk alot. What I don't like is waiting an hour and more after my appointment to not even be seen. Booking 2 people with the same stylist is insane. I took in full consideration that it is school season but if you know as a stylist you are behind the professional thing to do is call your client to give them a heads up. There's no way a stylist doesn't know they are an hour behind until the client comes in. I live 40 minutes away from here. I shouldn't have to leave without getting serviced. Thank you for servicing my daughter. She loved her hair. Time management needs to be better.

I was not there multiple times. I was there ONE other time to get a bundle installed before I came there this time with my daughter. For the people reading this review, I was there this time to get my bundle taken out and for my daughter to get her hair washed and blow dried.

I did not book last minute. And if you feel that was the case, you could've denied my services

The charger issue is funny. You got that charger in 1 minute while yelling about where another charger was. And the charger was for my phone so in case my husband needed me he could reach me. My phone wouldn't have been on low battery if i was seen on time! My 6 year old shouldn't have to wait over an hour for her mom to get serviced when we were booked for the same time.

Snacks! Girl! You offered my daughter the snacks. The nerve of you to even mention that that was even a problem. I went and got them for her. You nor your staff assisted with that! And what menus did you offer?? You told me out your mouth about some high end Asian food and when my daughter said ew you made the assumption that she would want Popeyes or McDonald's that you said was up the road! (My daughter knows about high end restaurants btw) You just could've said food. It's the wording for me.

There was ONE stylist besides you (the owner) working. If you consider that to be your entire staff then you need to re-evaluate your staffing. The girl who did my daughter's hair left. Not to mention my daughter liked her hair but I didn't. Her hair was dry as hell. The stylist put no heat protection on her hair but my daughter was happy so that makes me happy.

You didn't even apologize. You even had the nerve to tell me to come back later that day after I told you I live 40 minutes away.

My daughter had a great first day of school. Thanks to me fixing her hair since it was so dry after she left your establishment.

I had all the patience in me until my daughter was finished with her hair and I was left still waiting with no apology. You had me waiting around, (no one acknowledged us, I had to come up to YOU) with my daughter feeling uncomfortable, so we left. THAT'S POOR SERVICE. As an owner you should know this.

Also mission wasn't accomplished if you didn't service my hair. So no that wasn't an accomplished mission

Don't lie on your clients. It's not professional.

Highly upset mother!! I made an appt for my son weeks ago with a young stylist he has been seeing. This appt was for his prom, a wash/blow dry/ and natural 2 strand twist. While looking online to see if his stylist had an earlier appt time, I noticed her name was not listed. I had not received a message or call regarding this. So I called the next business day to confirm what was up because his appointment was coming up. While speaking with the owner Joanne I was informed his stylist was no longer working there. I told her I was never notified and that as stated before this is for his Senior Prom. She assured me she could still get his hair done and that she would do it. Appt was at 4:30, she said it may be pushed to 5 because of another appt but she would let me know the day of. She asked what is he having done again and I told her. Wash,blow dry, twist. Update 5/22 appt day, I called the shop to see if he was still good for 4:30 or 5 because I hadn’t heard back. I got put on hold after explaining why I called, 2nd was told by receptionist that she would have to call me back with an answer, 3rd got a call back stating there must have been some confusion on the date and time, 4th was asked if he could arrive at 7:30. Of course because who else could see him last minute before his Prom right. 5th I was told he would receive a discount for the mishap.6th he arrived at 7:30 but was not seen til after 8:30. 7th my son calls me at work from outside saying the stylist doesn't know what he's getting done because she washed his hair and began to start twisting his hair. I told him to go inside and place her on the phone. I told her what the appt was for and asked her if she knew how to twist. I was clearly frustrated and agitated at this point. While speaking with her, the manager Joanne called on the phone and I could hear her asking the stylist if she was okay. Once she ended that call she began to tell me that I could call Joanne. Yes I can do that but Joanne is not there and my son needs his hair done now. She then says yes I know how to twist, so I asked her to blow dry his hair as I requested when scheduling. I was extremely confused and bothered by the lack of professionalism. If you were gonna put my son with another stylist at the least tell the stylist what he's having done. Also upon washing his hair, she burned his scalp, the water was too hot but he responded by jumping out of the seat. With all that being said, he liked his twist but No Apology was ever given besides the reception during my call when she offered the discount. I was definitely expecting a call from Joanne the owner. This was my sons 2nd hairstylist who has left this establishment but we continue to go back because the young ladies that get hired know how to twist natural hair really well. No discount was given during checkout either. This was an horrible experience for a clients special occasion. This review is two days after Thanksgiving, November 25, 2023. I visited this shop because I was bringing my granddaughter there. When I walked in the door The shop was very beautiful. I arrive to 15 minutes early and was greeted by the young lady that was going to do my granddaughters hair. Her name is Tiffany and she did an awesome job and she was very professional with a very beautiful attitude. If 10 is the highest I can rate this place I give it a 12. However, I had to wait an hour and 15 minutes over my appointment time. I was extremely cold and feeling very sick so the hour and 15 minutes that I had to wait extra I was feeling very upset and thinking I would not give the stylist a tip. I decided I would rather mention it to the owner, so I could at least have an apology for all the time I had to wait. I waited for when she stepped outside, and I followed her outside and excused myself, and started to tell her my plan. I tell you this lady started shouting that I was bringing drama. I never raise my voice above or whisper because I was sick. She said that if I wanted to say anything else I can follow her into a place where she was picking up food because she had not eaten in two days and so I did., however I stood to the side never said a word until she was completely done then I try to explain I was not trying to cause drama but she continue to shout at me and told me also that she didn’t care if I didn’t come back. Once inside her shop, she started screaming that I was drama that I had cursed her out. She said that at least three times and all the time I kept asking her why would she say something like that that was so harsh and untrue after the third time she admitted that I did not curse at her.. The reason I stepped outside and spoke to her was because I didn’t want to be anything but professional. She screamed out lies about me and judged me very harshly, telling her employees and my 13-year-old granddaughter all these horrible lies. I was dumbfounded I was embarrassed. I continue to say I never talked above a whisper and how dare she say I curse at her. She is the owner of the Cosmo club hair shop in Medford New Jersey. I would never step foot in her shop again. And that was my first time in that shop with these other people. I was so humiliated. I wanted to take her to court and sue her for all that she falsely said against me. Unfortunately, me being who I am I just prayed and gave it to God and forgave her and chalked it up to her being tired and hungry. But still unprofessional and of course, no apology from her.
