Discovery Outpost — Local services in Medicine Park

I'm giving this store one star. I pre-paid for a cross stitch class online that specifically stated "ages 8 and up." When I arrived I was told it was for kids only even though there were other adults present. I drove from Lawton to Medicine Park and spent gas just to be offered a "refund." The person doing the class explained they were trying to create some kind of "kid environment." Since there were other adults there I did not see any problem with my being there. He also made an excuse about posting "8 and up" which I did not see any age limit. I would refuse to do any business with this company. Poor customer service. I think they owe me a...

I dropped in this store because I love books and it had a certain charm. As I began talking to the owner, he mentioned that he was a Christian and that the business had many faith-based items for sale. I replied that I too was a Christian and we had a wonderful chat about some differences in opinion. With that being said, he allowed me to have a book regarding traditional creationism free of charge because he was so passionate about the subject. If you go to Discovery Outpost, don’t expect a free book. But DO expect a friendly owner that is passionate about his business and his beliefs. What a wonderfully delightful place filled with every gift idea possible to entertain and build imaginations. Books, crafts, science, history, sensory play, and treasures you can’t find elsewhere in the area. A fantastic bonus is their talented staff in their efforts to reach into the community to provide fine arts with their theater and piano training as well as bible classes for youth.
