Park Tavern — Restaurant in Medicine Park

Had less than an ideal experience here while vacationing in this wonderful town. The drinks were strong which is always a plus, but the service was terrible. May have just been an off night, but it was fairly empty by the time we got there and it took 10 minutes of standing and getting ignored at the bar to get drinks ordered. The bartender didn't greet us and wasn't polite, just made the drinks and ran my card without any more communication. Then didn't give me a pen to sign my receipt which just irritated me at that point. We threw back our drinks and went to another bar. Hopefully people don't feel so unwelcome there...

Okay if your going to hang outside. Inside smells like mildew/stale cigarette smoke. Only one server in the place on a Friday night so don't get in a rush. Prices are okay and the tables overlooking the river have a good view, though the wood decking is showing serious signs of wear/rot and the tables looked like they never get wiped down. Our most favorite spot to chill at! Beautiful surroundings, tucked into the foothills of the refuge, with a huge, partially covered deck to watch the creek flow or to enjoy live music from the main stage or our own outside stage!! Live music on Thursday nights, and it's FREE! Staff is funny, friendly, efficient, and will do their best to ensure that a good time is had by all.
