So let me 1st say my sales lady was so sweet and we had no issues with her. We purchased because they assured us we could purchase and think about it and as long as we canceled the order before delivery all fees would be reversed. We were concerned about the base and I tried calling but didn't feel it was clear that we they wrote up the correct base. We wanted to ensure before it was delivered. When I called the store they would not look over my receipt, they would only tell me that it had all the features I wanted by what i told them when online is said differentplus the price was off. How would they know if they are not looking at my actual receipt and checking item numbers.. next I found the mattress protector at a cheaper price so I decided to take that one back since nothing had been delivered yet and mattress protector had no reason to be opened or used since we didn't even have the mattress yet. When I walked in to ashley to inquire in person about our base and return the maytress protector they pointed me to the store manager, who could assist me. I told him I had questions and wanted to return my matress cover still secured and unopened in the bag just as it was when we walked out of the store. He instantly became so hasty with me and said we don't do returns on matress covers. We cant help you. hmm but I haven't even opened this as u can see and I don't have the matress or base yet and speaking if i have some questions, but before I could even ask about my base, he said- well I don't know what to tell you, we don't take returns on matress protectors. I felt so upset that he had such a hateful stern grouchy attitude with no eye contact and he wasn't hearing me and ignoring me, so I handed him the full receipt and told him to cancel the entire order. At this point I choose to shop elsewhere. His mouth dropped. He now wants to talk and is interested in why??? He ask me why I wanted to cancel an almost 7,000 dollar order. I explained at this point his attitude was the reason. I did try to explain how we were wanting to check on the ergo smart base we were purchasing to make sure ours had massage and Bluetooth. He ignored and walked away as i spoke to another sales lady whom was kind and understood what i was saying. I asked her why he walked away and She told me he was calling synchrony bank. He was so rude and gave no response. He walked back to the table where we were, he said - I reversed the entire order and I'll take the mattress protector too, since it was also reversed. I said okay great he still said nothing. I asked for a receipt or some kind of proof, but he rudely ignored us and wouldn't give me anything and started working on something else.. I left and went out to my car and my husband and I called synchrony bank credit and they said there was still a $279.00 charge which turned out to be the matresss protector. So the manager tried to steal the protector from us knowing when he walked away he reversed the charges except the protector and then lied right to our face. We went back inside with the proof and told him we knew what he had done and he rudely handed us back the matress protector and didn't say a single word. No apology nothin!! This man should not be the south county store manager, He is very rude and caused this store to loose an entire sale because of his attitude from the start. We will never purchase from Ashley again. I will have a credit card with then I'll never use. We went somewhere else and are looking into buying the bed and base from them and it's cheaper. I feel sorry for people who have to work with him. I would have not canceled my order if he would have just kindly said we can't take back mattress covers and then kindly listened to my questions. Now he ruined it for everyone.    Read moreAfter 3 extended visits at the store picking out the furniture that I liked I met with Will who was our salesman. The date of purchase was 10-20-19 today is 12-12-19 and we are still waiting on delivery of the final pieces of the sectional that we purchased. The chase had a snag at the time of delivery, the wedge was clearly not new as the cushion sat down at least 1 1/2 in deeper than the armless loveseat and the chase. I can guarantee you that I have made at least 30 calls to my local store trying to get things straight and get our furniture delivered! When I call the actual store NO ONE ANSWERS the phone. I spoke with customer service most recently on Friday of last week at that time the rep explained that the right arm sofa was being delivered 12-17-19, she also explained that there was no order for a chase. The chase and the and the sofa have been ordered INCORRECTLY 2 times! We have been patient enough with this company, if it was possible I would have them come and pick up EVERYTHING that we purchased from them and cancel the entire order! We purchased a living room sectional, coffee table, end table, queen size bedroom set for our son which included a bed frame with headboard, mattress, dresser with mirror, chest of drawers and a nightstand and also a new queen size bed with frame and headboard and a nightstand for our bedroom. At the time of purchase we believed that our sons bed was a platform bed which didnât require a box of springs, why else would the salesman not inform us that we would also need a box spring? Our little guy was so super excited that he had a new BIG BED, to bad that he couldnât sleep on it until we got a box spring. The salesman continuously told us âno worries it comes with a 5 year warrantyâ anytime we mentioned being concerned about getting a darker color because we have 3 pups and a 9 year old son. However the one thing that he left out was the $2,000 price for said warranty. He also never mentioned the $350 charge for delivery. We were lead to believe that the furniture came with the warranty which would cover our purchase for the 5 years that we would be paying on it. Of course I didnât think that the delivery charge was free but it sure would have been nice to know that it was $350! I also wanted to mention that we have had to make 2 payments on furniture that we do not have! The first payment came before we received any delivery. We are still waiting on someone to contact us concerning the chase, itâs been almost a week! The customer service rep explained that the store management had to order the replacement chase AGAIN as she was not able to place the order. She said that she was creating a service ticket or something like that which would be sent to the management at which time they would contact me to get things corrected, she also transferred my call to the store where of course no one answered! Our salesman was a super friendly people person we only wish that he would have explained things better. The managers are obviously overwhelmed, why else would they refuse to answer the phones or return calls to customers that are having problems with their purchase? The 2 positives that I can mention are that the customer service reps and the actual delivery guys were always nice, friendly, professional, and I felt that they were doing a great job which is more than I can say about anyone at the actual store! Bottom line folks I would NEVER recommend that any of my friends or family purchase ANYTHING from Ashley Furniture! Iâm just praying that my situation is handled before Christmas since they already missed the Thanksgiving HolidayđĄI hope that my review saves others from the complete disaster that our family has...
   Read moreWent to Ashley Furniture looking for a new desk for my home office. After not finding much of anything of interest we were approached by(Dorris) a sales person. She showed us what was in store nothing much of interest. We were abot to leave when she directed us to a computer to show us other desks and found one that we liked. It didn't show a price and she said she would have to look it up because she couldn't find the price. So while she wandered off to supposedly find the elusive price I looked it up on Google and got several different prices. She returned and gave us a price that was $400.00 higher than the price we found.I brought this to her attention and she said they could match that price that was great news we made the purchase and arranged for a pick-up date. When we got home we noticed that the invoice reflected that we purchased a single chair not a desk. We contacted the saleperson who said she would change it to reflect our purchase. Two weeks later the desk was in. I took off work and went to the distribution center to pick it up. The guy at the center brought out a large box and told me not to worry about rhe number on the box the label on the side was the correct number. I was a little apprehensive but happy it finally arrived. When I carried the bulky box in with some help, I found that I was given the desk top with a set of dining room legs. I was getting angry, this was now officially a nightmare. I called the store and explained what happened. After being bounced around from one incompetent person to the next, I asked for the store manager. A salesman who claimed he could straighten it out came to the phone. He claimed the item was in stock and we could come in and exchange it for the correct one. Rather than trust this person after carrying the item down a flight of stairs and risking injury or damage to the item, I went to the store to make sure that the replacement was there. It wasn't. The manager Mr. Allen assured me that the item was at the warehouse and they would deliver it at no cost to me and remove the other item right away. I was fine with this and thanked him for straightening it out. I waited 2 more weeks for the exchange. I was notified today by the distribution center that they were waiting on us to call them with our selection for delivery and exchange. I couldn't believe it! I called and spoke with the Manager (Mr.N.Allen)and was told he didn't understand what happened. He spoke with the Manager and he had eyes on the desk we needed. He said he would have to refund our money back to us but it would have to wait until he could get someone out to pick up the merchandise and submit a request to refund our money through Corporate. I told him we purchased with cash and would like our cash back. He said they don't refund cash, all returns have to go through Corporate for approval after the return of the merchandise, and it could take anywhere from 7 to 10 days. I'm now waiting for a call back to let me know when the merchandise will be picked up. I WOULD RECOMMEND NO ONE PURCHASE ANYTHING FROM THIS STORE. I was lied to by multiple staff members and cheated out of my money. This is criminal. This entire process has taken 6 weeks.
