Always loved this place until tonight. Paid for soup that we didn’t get. Then paid for fried rice that we asked for without onion- that had onions in it. We were told we had to drive the fried rice back up to the restaurant before it closed in order to get a refund. We had already driven 20 minutes to get the food. My kids don’t eat it with onion in it which is why I ordered it without onion but wasn’t able to drive another 20 minutes plus there and back to get an exchange or refund after 8:00 (was supposed to be easy for pickup before 7). We already had waited over an hour to receive our order once we got there and didn’t find out about their mistake until we drove over 20 minutes home to find out. Very disappointing and unlike any service we’ve ever received before. Otherwise we wouldn’t be driving over 20 minutes for Chinese food there and back. What has happened? So disappointed. Wasn’t worth the gas money or the disrespect after all these years of being a loyal customer to be told to drive back all that way to correct THEIR mistake. Guess I’ll be looking for a...
Read moreMy friend Carol recommended this. I visited Last month (around the middle of November 2013) and loved the service. The restaurant was moderately busy on a week night, and the cold outside was quickly countered with hot tea and friendly service.
The food was great. I'm not a big fan of Chinese cookies (they are bland for cleaning the breath and palate), but the Spicy Kung Pao Chicken was great. It was also a large enough serving to enjoy 3 meals. I dined alone so this was a fantastic plus.
I also saw one couple sharing an entrée. Other couples throughout did presumably the same as I did; taking home extra for lunch or dinner. I was frequently checked on during my short visit, and the staff was quick to accommodate my needs.
I appreciate Carol's recommendation and will gladly share it with anyone interested.
PLEASE NOTE: This is not your typical Chinese buffet type restaurant. If they do offer a buffet, it is at scheduled times and I am positive the buffet service would be...
Read moreLemay Wok has been my favorite Chinese restaurant for a couple of years. The restaurant has a small dining area that usually gets crowded on Friday and Saturday nights but doesn't have a long waiting time because of their fast service and friendly waiters. The delivery service generally takes 30-45 minutes (the menu says free delivery with $11.00 purchase but I think they add a few bucks because when I calculate my bill it never comes out to what I was charged). The lunch specials are great, the only disapointment being that the "soup of the day" is always egg drop soup. Some tips if you are getting General Tso's Chicken: Get the Hot Braised Chicken instead (comes with better quality chicken) or the Empress Chicken (Hot Braised Chicken with...
