We always find what we are looking for and then some at So. County mall! I don't recall us ever having a bad experience there, until yesterday, Sun. 9/22/13. I let my 12 year old daughter and her two friends go into Candy City while I was in the next store. When they went in the girl working gave them a bag and told them it was however much for part of the bag, she was not specific. I put a scoop in of a few different types of candy and went to the register. The girl behind the counter told them they were not allowed to change their mind about it, that once it goes into the bag that's it. Since she was not clear with them about the price when SHE gave them the bag, they didn't know. These girls had, after taxes, about $15 dollars worth of candy. No joke it was only 1 scoop of 3 different types of candy. She then told these girls that if they didn't pay her the money that they didn't have because she was so unclear about the cost, that she would call mall security on them because she wouldn't put the candy back. If she would have been more clear about the price, they wouldn't have gotten any candy. I ended up paying because I had 3 girls almost in tears and petrified. I think it's ridiculous and the candy in this store is way overpriced and their "policy" if you can't pay is beyond ridiculous. Honestly, were these kids going to be escorted out of the mall or arrested because they didn't have the money to pay for the candy? Because of our experience in this store, we will NEVER step foot in Candy City and I have told everyone on our facebook what has happened and asked them to not patron that store. I come in the store today and made contact with a saleswoman named Lynn, I told her I wanted to look at some engagement rings. She asked me how long my girlfriend and I had been together, I told her three years. She immediately told us to follow her to the clearance section to look at some rings. I thought that was odd to immediately take us to the clearance section first. When we got to the case, she showed us some rings and started tell us about financing, I let her know I would be paying cash and not financing. She then call over a co-worker named Eric, and handed us over to him to look at some more rings. As we were looking at rings, she came back over to us and started talking about the layaway program they offered. I again told her I was paying cash. Is this the process for all buying customers, or just the African American ones. The overall experience was horrible, and I felt like I was being stereotyped the entire time I was in the store maybe she thought by the way I was dressed and being African American I couldn't buy. Ā Ā Ā Read moreI brought my car in for an oil change and for them to look at my air conditioner I also paid an additional $30 for them just to look at my air conditioner as far as I know just diagnostics is supposed to be for free which I know you can get it for free at Walmart and they wanted to charge me $126 for it after they told me exactly what the problem was and it was the power was out on my compressor but yet they wanted to charge me a bogus charge plus they had my car until four in the afternoon on a Saturday after I had an appointment at 10 AM . So that being said I decided to take my car to be looked at by a more respectable mechanic that I know wonāt rip me off Iām very upset itās Fatherās Day and I have no AC in my car and I canāt go visit the people that mean the most to me because I donāt have AC and they ruined my whole day on a Saturday when I was off work so I could not run any errands .
