I’m a Starbucks lover husband recently did an online purchase for 2 tumblr’s and ofc 2 ice coffees he had payed through Starbucks app once arrived to the store was told “sorry we don’t have that in store at the moment “ husband responds “ I need my refund “ Starbucks employee responds “ can’t do anything call customer service “ husband says “ excuse me , we’ll then can I get a gift card ?” .. employee responds “ we don’t have any ; just call customer service “ . Now I call and customer service replies “nothing can be done “with them and the issue would be escalated towards someone else and that I would be contacted 5-7 days by that someone else .
I hope no one has to go through this rough situation back and forth and not have a clear response bc is ridiculous having customer service and not being able to get help by them than what’s the point of having them for . When I ordered my coffee I told them I wanted to use stars for a free drink, they said sure no problem go ahead and scan, and then I got charged money for the drink. No big deal, I’ll use the free stars some other time. When I ordered there were only a couple other people inside so I didn’t think I’d have to wait too long. 20 minutes after ordering, I still didn’t have my coffee. I asked one of the baristas if I would get my drink soon and he (very rudely) informed me that I needed wait and that there were lots of mobile orders to get through and it would still be a while. How about you make coffee for the people actually in the store? If your mostly empty store is going to take this long to make a drink, you should really tell people when they order. And why did the drive thru girl lie and say the phone number available on the app would direct me to customer support to cancel my order. When I called, I was speaking with a store employee who also said they can’t cancel my order over the phone. Got the run around and ended up being late to my job that’s literally down the street from here. I am beyond frustrated. Now I have to go back and face these employees in person to either cancel my order or get my moneys worth. Either way I never want to come back to this location. A big part of customer care is knowing information and when there’s misinformation especially for a customer that’s telling you she’s about to be late to work, it helps to know the right info.
