Upon arrival at the store I was told a specific price for a 3 piece(couch , love seat with a chair) by Diana.I decided I wanted it . Right before I was about to move forward with purchasing ,Solomon informed me that the price was correct however it was only a 2 piece (no chair included).I explained to him that his employee Diana told me a chair was included in the price & she was adamant about it but he didn’t care. She even repeated that it was a 3 piece in front of him. I explained to him that Usually when a customer is misinformed, the higher ups does something to try to honor what was agreed upon based on their employee giving out false information . WRONG . Okay , so I let it go .Solomon was extremely pushy . He doesn’t give you time to think , he constantly tries to pressure you , if u make a phone call he doesn’t give you privacy he stands right there listening . He told me before I purchased that there was a delivery slot open for the following day ,and that I’ll have my furniture then , WRONG . I guess he said that to try to make the sale . Also , right at the last minute before I made my payment he tells me they might not have the furniture in the warehouse and that I might have to take the one off the floor (which I stated since I walked through the door that I didn’t want the floor furniture and he assured me that wasn’t an issue , they had another one in the warehouse . Another lie to get a sale . He knew about the huge possibility the entire time , but instead of being upfront and honest from the jump , he chose to throw in the disclaimer right before I made the purchase .
I ignored many red flags .I should have left
The next day they called me (Solomon & Diana) trying to persuade me to tell Acima (another company) that I received my delivery knowing that I hadn’t .I explained to them both that I wouldn’t be able to lie and say I received something that I hadn’t & that I would tell Acima I have a scheduled delivery for Friday . I told him that could easily go left if something were to happen .He continued to try to persuade me to do it any way . According to Solomon ,I needed to tell them I received my furniture in order for him to be able to set up my delivery . (Makes no sense) Finally after us going back & forth for awhile , and me being firm in saying no , he gave up .
Fast forward to the delivery day. Solomon called me on 3 way with Acima trying to make it seem like my furniture was delivered . I told the lady that the delivery man called and said he was 20 mins away but it hasn’t been delivered ! He proceeded to tell Acima that it doesn’t matter because they’re on the way . The lady tells him no ! It must be delivered in the home first . The delivery guys get here and they come straight to me to sign . I haven’t seen my furniture . I don’t even know if it’s the correct furniture or not . I ask them to bring it inside so I can see it before I sign .Solomon tells them no . I need to sign FIRST (before even knowing what’s inside the truck) I refused and Solomon gets upset so I hung up (he calls back and tells me if I hang up again I’ll be be carrying the furniture inside myself) .
Acima calls again and I explained to her what was going on . She agreed that it needed to be viewed and delivered inside my home before I sign and before she would confirm it delivered . After going back and forth Solomon FINALLY tells the guys to bring it in . I inspected it , everything was fine and I signed .(Why couldn’t we just do that from the jump?)
If you are looking for HONEST sales people who doesn’t try to do underhanded stuff I would recommend going somewhere else . I know their job is to make a sale , but the extent they go to is extreme. They will lie and do whatever it takes . Extremely unprofessional
Update :I received floor furniture & was suppose to get 10% off per Solomon . I didn’t receive it . delivery was NOT FREE! He used my 10% off as my delivery . Which the 10% off had more value so it wasn’t even an even trade but We did agreed on it so don’t lie like I got free delivery...
Read moreI originally came to this store looking for an entertainment center and a dresser. I found exactly what I wanted and Solomon was very helpful. He quoted me $160 for a delivery fee which I considered to be a little high considering I only live 12 miles from the store. Once I got home, I remeasured and decided that the entertainment center wouldn't fit in the area I had pictured it. I called back and Solomon was happy to remove it from my purchase. I still wanted the dresser. Saturday the dresser was delivered by two men at the appropriate time. They carried it from their truck to my livingroom.
Today I realized that my Acima account that I used to purchase the dresser was substantially higher than the price of the dresser. I called the store to ask if there was a mistake because my dresser was very affordable. Soloman was curt in explaining that the delivery fee was still $120.
My mind is blown that I just paid $120 to have a $200 dresser delivered to my home 12 miles away from the store. Not only that but it was only carried from the truck up two stairs and a modest ten feet into my livingroom. My boyfriend unboxed it and moved it to our bedroom himself.
I will assume responsibility in not confirming the exact amount of the dresser with delivery but I was never emailed another bill of sale or any Acima paperwork after the original conversation so this purchase was misleading. I just want other future customers to be aware of these outrageous charges so that hopefully they can make a better...
