I am giving them a 1 because I cannot give them 0. Yes that is right zero. By far the worst restaurant experience in Memphis. To start off I had to go ask if we ordered at the bar or counter. I was told no a waiter or waitress would be over in a little bit. Mind you they were not busy at all. Only about 5 tables with people at them. As you sit down they have a handout on the table 18% service charge for a party of 6 or more and it does not matter if you have 3 adults and 3 kids they are going to charge 18% which is ok. Then if your meal is wrong you will still have to pay for it. No refunds! If you need crab crackers they are three dollars if you do not return them Then finally after 16 min of being in the restaurant a waitress finally came over, to take our drink order. We were ready to order at that point so we did. I would of left by now if my nephew and his wife did not want seafood so bad. The tipping point was when the waitress told me she needed two form of identification to hold while we ate. I told her I was not giving her my ID's to send her manager over if she needed to. When the manager finally came over I told her I was not giving them my ID's. She told me I had to. I spent 26 years in the military and I retired. She was not getting my ID's. I told her I would pay for the meal up front but she was not getting my ID. She told me I had to or I could leave. We left! She was rude and in my opinion not very friendly towards any customer. I will never go back and eat at that Red Hook. I do not see them staying in business very long especially if they keep the manger that was there on Saturday 14 March around 330. By far a terrible place to g . I hope this review can save someone some time. Because that is 35 minutes of my life I will never get back. Terrible customer service, rude management and overall just pathetic. I hope this helps. When I find a good restaurant I will also provide a positive review. Do yourself a favor if you wan an enjoyable dining experience stay away from the Red...

My Sister’s birthday was on Sunday, February 23 and she decided that she wanted to try Red Hook for the first time. After arriving to Red Hook at about 7:07 we were told that it would be a 30min wait. So we said that was fine and we wanted in the car until about 7:46 and just got out the car because no one came to get us yet. After finally being seated we waited at the table for about 15 minutes before anyone took our order. When one of the waiters walked by she said I guess I can take y’all order! After placing our order we sat for about 30 minutes and my cousin’s food came out . We waited for another hour and our food hadn’t been brought to the table. After watching three other parties that came in after us with the food we called for the waiter to come to the table. We were told the the printer didn’t print out order and that’s why we didn’t have our food. We asked the waiter to get the Manager. When the manager came to the table she said she was sorry and the food would be out in 3 to 5 minutes. After 20 minutes we went back to the manager and she said that it would be out soon or do you what me to cancel your order. I replied “Ma’am it is 9:00pm on a Sunday where do you think we are going if everything else is closed at this point. We were told that our ticket would be discounted . After finally getting our food at 9:17 it was a lunch portion size and the manager only took off the taxes which was $3.86. When I saw the discount I laughed and asked for the waiter to have the manager to come over to talk about this Ridiculous discount. Instead of coming to the table she had the waiter get the tickets and she then took off $15.49. The moral of the story Red Hook has good food but Horrible customer services don’t go to the location on Poplar go to the...

With all do respect to each other, food hot and served on time. My group made reservations though. food was good and prices range from clam chowder and gumbo $6 each to $119 seafood combos please add taxes and tips to your total when you pay your waitresses and your check. Women's bathroom was extremely nasty and apparently you can smell sewer stuff coming up from the floor that you need to wear a mask it's that bad of a smell. Men's bathroom wall unit very nasty and no water in it and it was extremely dirty to. No paper towels and no hand soap in men's bathroom and no paper towels and no hand soap at middle hand washing station in between the men's and women's bathrooms. Our waitress was nice and did a good job. She did her best under the circumstances. Please make improvements asap/immediately to the atmosphere. Extremely small parking lot, only 2 handicap spots and behind handicap parking, parking spaces are extremely tight you have to watch everyone coming from both sides and from behind you to when attempting to pull your vehicle out of the tight parking spot/spots. Thank you and I wish everyone the very best. Be safe and enjoy your visit if all possible. With all do respect to each other, the other retail stores next to Red Hook have more parking spaces than Red Hook. If you have a group of 6 or more please make reservations 1st and then add 18.5% tips & add taxes to your final total of your check. The menu will tell you the same thing I am...

Went here for lunch today. Their seasoning is overly salty so I asked could I get butter and seasoning separate. The waiter seemed puzzled and she stated she wasn’t sure if that could be done. I’m not certain what’s complex about putting butter in one container and seasoning in another. She said they were not able to do it so I decided to order something else. I ordered a catfish basket. When the fish came out, I was in utter shock. This is in fact not catfish. The fish looked as though they fry it in chicken or shrimp batter. It had a smell to it and the fish was such poor quality. The waiter service was below subpar and she wasn’t too friendly. I would not go back to this location… EVER. Lastly, she brought the check and my friend wanted to order a to go order for her husband. The waiter stated she couldn’t because she had already printed the check. That was misinformation and overall poor service.

I ordered the weekend special, which included a lobster tail, crab legs, shrimp, a corn, and 3 potatoes. I was not disappointed. The serving size was plentiful and the taste was on point. The service, although short-staffed like most businesses, was actually amazing. Everyone was friendly and polite. My dinner date ordered the chicken poboy, he was not impressed, he said it is clear that the chicken was an after thought, after all, this is a seafood restaurant. I would certainly recommend them for the seafood boil.

I paid $28 plus for two small potatoes, one corn, and two crablegs. First time ordering from here. The cajun flavor was good but it wasn't worth the money. Go spend $32-$35 at Lite Junior for King crablegs (more meat), $1.99 for 4 corn and $5.00 for a bag of red small potatoes and have a feast. You will get more food and your money worth!! I'm from Memphis, I know better! You spend $30.00 at the casino on buffets - all you can eat seafood buffets before the pandemic.
