Waffle Cream — Local services in Memphis

Yesterday I had the pleasure of visiting Waffle Cream and it was definitely a visist to remember! I'm sure you all know but Waffle Cream specializes in these epic ice cream Waffle sandwiches. I've never had one because I've always been intimidated by the size but yesterday I was conquering fears and trying it! Lol I saw that they had a new combination that was available for a limited time only called Straw-Lala. Straw-LaLa has one big scoop of strawberry crunch ice cream sandwiched in by 2 waffles pieces and drizzled with a homemade lemon cream cheese sauce! Y'all! That thing was so freaking good! I didn't want to stop eating it. The flavors were a mash up of like a strawberry eclair/shortcake mixed with a funnel cake(probably the waffle and cream cheese drizzle). I was so happy I got it! Lol It really should have a permanent place on the menu! I'm going to try to make it back before that one leaves because! I definitely recommend you all going to get your ice cream fix soon! You can pick your own flavor combination with a waffle, get a regular cone or shake. My dates just got ice cream and they enjoyed what they ordered so there anno wrong decisions. This is my favorite icecreamery ever. My girlfriend and I visit at least once a week. The cake batter is my favorite and their waffles are always so good…not too sweet but pairs amazingly with the icecream. The only reason I’m not giving 5 stars is because the last few times I’ve gone they haven’t been open. We go during their normal business hours but there will be a sign on the door saying they will open late or we arrive and they just aren’t there. The last instance we went and there was a sign on the door stating they would open at 4. It was only about 10 minutes until that time so we’re waited. Some other families pulled up and we all waited together while my girlfriend and I bragged on how delicious this was going to be. 4:10 rolls around and we’re all still standing there waiting. I could have cried lol I had been waiting all week for this icecream. I’ll definitely be back but I hope that we don’t have to experience them being closed again during their normal...

Disappointed. This is my second time coming here. The service was slow and the workers seemed miserable and unhappy to be there. I ordered a peaches and cream waffle and my waffle was burnt and the "peaches" was 3 small pieces of a peach that looked like they came out of a FRUIT CUP! Nothing about it tasted like peaches. They gave my daughter a dirty spoon for her ice cream. After waiting 15+ minutes for the waffle it was disappointing for it to be burnt and the only thing that was good about it was the vanilla ice cream.
