My husband and I have had terrible experience at this pharmacy. At the last covid shot, he was administered an empty syringe which the pharmacist left lying around in the wrong bin. And recently, it has been an ordeal getting my monthly medication that I depend on for my survival which a competent pharmacist would be aware of. The saga started on Dec 9th when I requested my prescription to be refilled. Typically the turnaround time is one day. The status on the app shows it has been delayed without any explanation and with a note that someone will contact me if needed. I wait 2 days at which point, I no longer have any medication left. I repeatedly call them over 2 days waiting longer than 45 minutes without any success. I finally go into the store on Friday Dec 16th and wait in line for an hour and I am told they have delayed the medicine because they deemed it too expensive. Note we are talking about a medication that I depend on for my survival. And the medication is not more expensive than the last month's supply - only this time I asked for a 90 day supply instead of a 30 day supply - so obviously it was 3 times more. Anyways, I approve the cost expressing displeasure that I wasn't even contacted and the pharmacist made a call on her own to delay this. I was asked to come back in 20mins and when I do, i am informed that they only have 5 tablets to give me right now and the rest I can get the next day. I leave hoping to receive my medication the next day. I check the status the next day, now it says it will be ready on Monday Dec 19th. I am again running out since I had to use the 5 tablets to make up for lost days before. I calm myself down. Unfortunately I have to fly overseas last minute on Sunday night without my medication (side note: overseas fortunately this is a medication i can get very easily). I planned to ask my husband to pick up my medication the next day. Again, I see the status that my medication is again delayed without any explanation. I come back after a week Dec 27th and call them promptly the next day Dec 28th. Thankfully, I am connected to someone in 30mins. They again inform me that it has been held up due to the cost of the medication. Are you kidding me? How many times do we need to go through this? This is a medication i need to live. The staff doesn't care - all they say is it will be ready tmrw and sorry if I was inconvenienced and that they don't have any record of it being held up. Finally it is ready but after 3 weeks! What an incompetent staff...
Read moreI don't normally write reviews but I felt I needed to because this place is so bad that it is actually dangerous and should not be used by anyone who has serious medical conditions that require timely access to medication. They routinely fail to call to tell you of a problem with a requested medication, have obscenely long lines all the time, and are incredibly difficult to get on the phone even at off-peak hours. Just this week I spent two hours calling back to follow up on an important medication (which I have been without for over a week at this point) after they failed to tell me about a doctor authorization needed even after telling me the prescription would be filled in 90 minutes (spoiler alert: it wasn't). Since it was a Friday and there was a Monday holiday, I would have been without the medication for a minimum of 4 days. However, they also neglected to tell me that they didn't in fact have the medication in stock, which I found it when I showed up to pick it up. This certainly could have been solved in a single day were it not for a hilarious, Kafka-esque experience in which the pharmacist working when I called would temporarily pick up the phone, say nothing (I could hear the background noise when they did this), then hang the phone back up, putting me back on hold. They would just continually do this until eventually the system would automatically hang up. I called back several times over the course of 2 hours before getting through to anyone.
When I brought this up to a manager the third time I showed up over two days (still without my prescription), he clearly did not care at all that I was going to be left without an important medication for an entire week. I don't think that the people here are incompetent or bad (apart from the manager, who seemed awful), they're just extremely understaffed. If you have a single prescription and don't mind waiting in extremely long lines and having a miserable time getting hold of anyone, it's probably worth just suffering through it. If you have a serious medical condition that requires multiple medications to manage, go elsewhere, these people are...
Read moreI received call from a customer who had requested to have a package delivered at this Walgreens from FedEx. The package was delivered on March 30th, 2020 and was signed for as delivered. When our customer's daughter went to pick up the package on 4/3/2020, was told that it was not at the store and tracking showed that it had been signed for by someone else.
After I heard this from our customer, I decided to call the store and ask for their side of the story as they should be checking identification before releasing a package to someone. The man on the phone that I was connected to said that the package was not there and when I started asking questions, hung up on me. The way that this call was handled by this staff member was unprofessional and I wanted to make sure that this instance is documented as a warning.
Update: I called back and the Store Manager, Sergio was extremely helpful in helping get my questions answered. The package was not located and a claim will have to be filed with FedEx on my end, but Sergio was kind enough to take the time to answer the questions that I had and exhaust all the solutions available to him to see if he could locate it for me and our customer. Thank you Sergio for...
