I visited this salon three times. The first two experiences were great but the third one sucked. First of all, I'll say that Olivia is a very nice person and my first waxing with her went great; the second time, however, she left a lot of hair on my legs, meaning that I paid for a waxing, then had to go home and use Nair. She used so much wax that my thighs stuck together. Afterwards, I had my manicure/pedicure with Brooke. It was my second time with her and the first one was fine; this time, however, it was far from fine because the manicurist next to her kept shouting and was literally so loud that I winced. When I, very nicely asked Brooke to ask her to talk more quietly, she informed me that "Aria" was her best friend and that they were a "very upbeat salon." It seems that, in their world, the employees right to have a good time supersedes the comfort of their customers. When I, again, asked nicely, Brooke turned red in the face and proceeded to give me such a poor manicure that it peeled off the next day, while Aria continued to yell. It was a gel manicure and very expensive. The experience was the opposite of relaxing. After I left, I called the owner to express my concern and was met with excuses and gaslighting. Among other things, she excused the waxing because "the light is low back there;" gee, do you think maybe you should turn it up? She continually told me that, basically, my concerns couldn't be valid because they're a "5 star salon." So does that mean that they never have an off day? Anyway, they may be excellent most of the time but, be warned, if they don't do right by you, they will gaslight and take no responsibility for it. They are very convinced of their own perfection. absolutely ADORE this place!!! i’ve been visiting the Beauty and the Beard for almost a year now and not one of my nail sets have gone unnoticed. i receive multiple compliments daily on my nails that Arianna does. Ari is the absolute best. Besides the BOMB nails, she never fails to lift my spirit, make me laugh, and brighten my day! She always makes sure my nails are perfect which i appreciate. i’ve come to her with some crazy and complex nail art and she never lets me leave with anything less than AMAZING! she also helped me restore my natural nail health by using overlay since i was not comfortable with Gel-X nails! i’ve grown out my nails and they have stayed so strong since i’ve started getting them done by her!! i’ve been on a journey to find a good nail salon. unfortunately, this was not it. Back in Feb, i got a gel x set on thursday and it was fine. then, on friday, one popped off but I thought it was somehow my fault until saturday when two more popped off. they were lifting and getting caught in my hair. when they popped off, it mimicked the quality of a poor press on set. i called on tuesday to see if they can give a partial refund, but they said they don’t do that. i would understand, but within 3 days three nails popped off. actually one just popped off as i write this. i explained i live 40 mins away, and why would i come back a second time for poor quality? they were also very thick which i had explicitly said i did not want. they look cute from the top but not under. the pictures...
