There have been multiple instances of the restaurant switching orders between customers and taking a long time and being rude about having to provide the correct orders after the mistake.
A few weeks ago when we went we had to ask for them to fix the drinks because after asking for light ice it was filled to the brim with ice. While waiting several people came in from the drive thru with the same issue.
We went fifteen minutes before closing this week and they left us waiting for ten minutes to place an order with only one person in line ahead of us. They then closed the registers in front of us and acted shocked when they realized that they hadn't taken our order and completely ignored us. They had to notify the kitchen to stop closing as well and the manager told them that they still had multiple orders to make for both the drive thru and in store before they could close.
Finally today, I ordered breakfast through the mobile app for pickup at 9:50am and sent my partner to the restaurant to pick up the food. He arrived around 10:05am to find the restaurant completely closed with a sign on the door saying that they were opening at 10:30am due to the snow (the roads in this area are already clear though I acknowledge those coming from outside of town might not have clear roads). The mobile app had already marked him as arrived with no way to cancel the order and so he sat there for 25 minutes until they opened the doors. When he notified the cashier of the situation they told him that they would not make our order, the best they could do was complete a refund or make a lunch meal instead. When he asked why we were able to place the order through the app when they weren't even open, he was told that they forgot to close the orders through the app. The quality of this location has gone steeply downhill since they reopened after renovations and I will not be visiting the Mentor Chick-fil-A again. Read morei was just at the store in Willoughby ohio and it was terrible. i am 61 years old. the place was filled with teenagers both as customers and employees. im ok with that. i was the only person in line and it took over 2 minutes to get waited on while the staff talked to each other and the customers and ignored me. i ordered a milkshake and a lemonade. i was told the shake would take a couple minutes to get the shake cause the machine just exploded. Ok. 10 minutes later one of the young kid customers get the exact shake i ordered. im thinking good. (i know because the strawberry has whipped cream and a cherry) 5 minutes later no one has spoken to me since telling me it would be delayed. thats 15 minutes now to get 2 drinks. I finally got fed up and told Ryan the manager on duty to keep his drinks and give me all my money back. he explained the machine had broke and i said i know. but the young kid got his drink. i guess im not young and cute enough. at that he returned my money and i left. to never return again. i think i was being segregated against because i am a senior citizen and wont patronize an establishment...
Read moreSimply not worth the time and money. They should have put in an 8 lane highway for the drive thru. Maybe that would speed things up. I remember when Chick-fil-A was actually speedy. Times have changed and the convenience is gone.
New update: we decided to try it again now that it's remodeled. Place is crazy busy. Line in drive through was all the way out to Mentor Ave. We went inside after we navigated our way through the entrance. Had to walk through the drive-thru line. Watch out. Lots of people standing around inside just waiting on their food. We ordered quickly and waited. And waited. Looks like most of the service is new. Trash can is overflowing!
Edit: Something has changed here. It used to be quick. Wait times are very long now? Poor management? Short Staff? I don't know.
