My family and I moved from Michigan 6 years ago. While living there my husband purchased a wedding ring for me from Wheat Jewelers then located on GrandRiver in Okemos, Michigan. From the first time that we visited until now, Kevin Wheat's staff made us feel special and gave us Red Carpet treatment. The diamond my husband purchased was a Hearts on Fire and Archie who is so knowledgable about diamonds led my husband to buy a diamond for me that has been admired by everyone that I meet.

Well, I mentioned that it has been 6-years since we lived in Okemos, Michigan but I never forgot about my Family at Wheat Jewelers. So when it was time for my husband whose name is Kevin too by the way to give me a diamond for our 25 Wedding Anniversary we had no doubt that Wheat Jewelers would be where we would purchase the ring. Archie pulled out the Red Carpet and told me that he would walk us through the process of designing a ring that would include my original Hearts on Fire diamond and incorporate other diamonds as well.

We have been going to Wheat Jewelers for about 5 yrs.now. We were always seeing Archie, who is the owner + is fantastic!! Archie is so wonderful + knowledgeable!! They have the most beautiful jewelry to choose from. So, we went to see about having my diamond put into a new setting with more diamonds vs my solitaire. We were greeted by Kevin, our salesman, who helped us select a "preset" diamond ring which was beautiful! After making our selection, Kevin, who was so helpful, friendly, + professional, said our new ring would be "made" for me by adding my diamond from my solitaire to it. We were excited to know the ring was being created for me. When my ring was done + we went in to get it I was so pleased at the beautiful job Mike did in creating my ring!! Mike has done work on my jewelry in the past + he is amazing!! He is definitely our go-to guy for any repairs or jewelry issues.. Mike did such a beautiful job + all the detail was spot on!! We wouldn't go anywhere but Wheat Jewelers for our jewelry needs. If I could give Wheat Jewelers more stars, I would! We recently got engaged, and my fiance proposed with my grandmother's diamond engagement ring and wedding band, which were sautered together. We wanted to take the diamonds and the silver from the band and have it recreated into an engagement ring that is mine, but uses my grandmother's diamonds. I was apprehensive to take the ring anywhere and let someone work on it since it's such an heirloom piece. From the minute we walked into Wheat's, I was absolutely comfortable with them. Kevin Wheat, the owner, came out and talked to us and never did I feel like he was trying to sell us something we didn't want or upcharge us or anything the like that. The man is a designer! He immediately won my engineer-Fiance over when he took us into his office and started drawing up designs on Auto Cad. The best, and most reassuring, part was that we were able to see a wax model of the ring before he melted it down and recreated it. Everything was timely and professional, and I wouldn't change a thing about our experience with Wheat's. We will absolutely be going back for my fiance's wedding band and also to have Kevin create my wedding band from my other's grandmother's diamonds. Don't shop for fine jewelry...
