**I have to give an update. After posting my review, I was contacted by Linda DeMeyer. She was very sincere and listened to what I had to say. Unfortunately there was not much she could do on her end to get the couch here quicker but she refunded my money so that I could look elsewhere. Linda did say that if the couch came in, they would contact me and I would have first dibs on it.
I was unable to find a couch like the one at DeMeyer. I was super surprised to receive a call from DeMeyer saying they got the couch in and asked if I still was looking for one. They honored the sale price I had originally got the couch at. When the couch was delivered, I was given a time frame of between 230 and 530. I got a call from the delivery guys at 215 that they were 15 minutes away... The delivery was quick and friendly.
I have to say, I do feel that DeMeyer did their very best to correct the situation that had happened and I am very impressed. Thank you Linda and the DeMeyer team.*
At first I felt like I stuck gold! I found the couch that I had been searching for in a good price range right after Memorial Day weekend. The sales person was wonderful with me, she knew I didn't want the floor display that everyone has sat on and toyed with. I was told that they didn't have another couch on hand but there was one coming on their truck, and I would have it by the end of the week. Well the week ended and then I went through the weekend, no word or follow up that my new PAID IN FULL couch was scheduled to deliver. I called Demeyer and spoke with the person who answered the phone, who informed me that my couch was NOT on its way, and there wasn't an estimated delivery. This floored me as I had gotten rid of my old furniture to have room for the new couch, and NO ONE from Demeyer had followed up with me. When I called again, apparently Jeff the store manager is who answered and told me the couch wasn't scheduled to ship until the begining of July?!! This didn't sit well with me. I asked if there was a way to expedite it, was told due to the pandemic there was not. He didn't offer me anything other than to go in and look at what they currently had to offer. I asked for a discount, he told me I already got one from the Memorial Day Sale. Not even the floor model was offered up to me, but when I went in that night it too was gone. I seemed to set off alarm in the manager and employees that I actually came in! Only one person tried to help.me find an acceptable replacement but everything offered was was at out of my price range. Eventually, the original sales person convinced me to keep what I had on order and it was worth the wait. The begining of July, I called to inquire on a status on the couch, it still was not on its way!!!! I was told it would be here on the 5th, I asked for a follow up call for status if that was going to change. I did get a call from someone on July 9th stating that there was a 3 day delay, but I was looking to get the couch by the following Tuesday. I called today to make sure it was still coming and the lady who answered the phone told me they couldn't tell me that information but she didn't see anything scheduled for me until the 16th to deliver. Long story short, I feel I was given incorrect information for a sale to happen. It has now been dang near a month and a half, and I STILL HAVE NO IDEA WHERE OR WHEN I WILL GET MY FURNITURE. Did I mention this was paid in full when I originally bought it? Not a good...
Read moreUpdate** Jeff at the warehouse spoke to me when I went to pick up the back of my couch. I understand that this wasn't really something in their control and that this situation was unique. I am still frustrated with the fact that it would have taken additional 8 days to get the piece from them (after the 2.5 week for the company to ship it) had I not picked it up. However, the guys in the wearhouse really did go out of their way to try and find me a foot and make sure I had the right piece, and I appreciate that. This is the only bad experience I have ever had at Demeyer, and I hope it is the last.
I bought a couch from Demeyer back in March and as of today I still don't have the back for it. This has been the biggest pain in the rear that I have very had to deal with after paying over 500 for a two person couch. Honestly the worst experience I have ever had with them. My family and I have all had good experiences in the past, but I don't know if they have changed management or something because this has been a nightmare. It took about 3 weeks for my couch to arrive and once it was in it was discover that a foot was broken and back was missing. Literally the back of the couch was not there. Not sure how they missed that, but they did. I wait another 2.5 weeks for the back to arrive. The the cherry on the top: they had agreed to deliver the back to me, and I found out today it will be another week before they can do that. I am honestly just fed up and done with them. I will be picking up the back myself because I want a couch I can actually use. 5 and a half weeks of this nonsense and now I have to go out of my way to correct their mistake. Still have no idea if I will ever be getting a foot that isn't broken, but I will never shop with Demeyer again. I will say that Darrin in the warehouse was a Rockstar who did his best to figure out how to get me the back of the couch ordered, but everyone else I spoke to didn't give a flying cupcake. I just want a couch I can actually use, and for almost 550 bucks I don't think I am...
Read moreWe purchased a bedroom set manufactured by Oak Tree in Payette, ID. We had one previously and were very pleased with the quality of the furniture. However this time our purchase was anything bu good. We ordered it in January of 2022 and were told by the salesman 16 weeks. Well 16 weeks turned into 20 weeks. When the furniture arrived there were major flaws in the set. The bed foot board was very rough where they had installed pocket screws and did not sand them down. The drawer fronts were not properly aligned and crooked. Inside the drawers there were staples sticking through the drawer bottom splintering the wood and in some cases exposing the staple points. Some of the material was very poor in terms of quality. The bed rail connection broke off when they tried to install it and they had to jerry-rig something to make it work. DeMeyer personnel did agree to take it back and have it fixed. We were told that they would shoot for getting it back in a week since DeMeyer was a large purchaser of this manufacture. That did not happen. Now we are up to maybe two weeks, but I am not counting even that time frame. In a lot of the checking I have had to call DeMeyer to find out what is happening with our furniture. We have paid several thousand dollars for this bedroom set and have had it in our home for less than a week after it was delivered and after waiting 20 weeks for it. Even though DeMeyer personnel have said they are pressuring the manufacturer to get it done, we simply do not see that happening. There does not seem to be any urgency for getting our paid for furniture back to us. No mention of any sort of compensation except they provided a loaner dresser and a dirty old box springs for our brand new temperpedic mattress. If this is the way DeMeyer "takes care" of their customers I am not sure anyone should purchase form them at all. We were going to purchase a large area rug from DeMeyer, but seriously considering making other...
