Iāve been trying to give restaurants the benefit of the doubt and I try to be a little more understanding given the constraints the pandemic has put on them. Having given Buffalo Wild Wings this benefit of lowered expectations for our last several visits, my experience last night was unacceptable even with lowered expectations. The service last night was so bad that it prompted me to write this review, Iāve only ever left one other review...it was that bad!
We placed it to go order through the website to be picked up at the Meridian store. First estimated time for pick up was 7:00 pm, but it quickly updated to 7:10 pm. Not a big deal at all. I arrive and pay for my order just before 7:10 and the hostess tells me that she would let me know when my order was ready.
Within a minute or two I saw another hostess bring out an order and set it by the register, then this order was moved over to the other register, then she tried to put it in the warming box, but there was no room, so the order was placed back by the register where it was put when it was first brought out. Nobody bothered to call the name on the order or otherwise check to see if the customer was there to collect their order.
By 7:30 I still havenāt gotten my order, the one the website said was ready at 7:09. So I ask the hostess that took my payment if she could check on the status and she says ā....uh it looks like they are bagging the order right nowā Then a minute later the hostess that had moved the order I saw was brought out 20 minutes before (right after I paid) and move around the takeout area a number of times grab the order and call out my name. I took the order and exclaimed āare you serious my order has been sitting there this entire timeā! Her response was to tell me oh no I just brought that up, they just bagged it.
So you waisted 20 minutes of my time and then you lied to me. My order had been boxed so long that when I opened it the takeout boxes were soggy and the food was room temperature. Then adding insult to injury, my sauces were missing. There was no teriyaki sauce and I only received four of the eight ranches that were ordered...ordered and on the receipt taped to the bag.
To be honest I wouldnāt be writing this review if the food had just taken longer than the web estimate or if we had just been missing the sauces...those things happen and they have happened to us at BWW before. I may not have even bothered to write the review if when I remarked that my order had been waiting the entire time if the hostess has just been honest and said yeah it has Iām sorry things are crazy here and we over looked it. And I know I wouldnāt be writing this review if the hostess been honest and offered to make sure the food was still warm before sending me on my way. Not cool BWW, not cool.
Unfortunately, last night was the straw that broke the camels back and I will not give BBW my business...
Ā Ā Ā Read moreSaturday around 630pm our party of 6 walk in and are told they essentially can't take any more people regardless of the open booths and tables everywhere, they don't want to triple seat their servers, fair enough. Some kid comes back to tell us he can push some tables together by the bar, good deal. Well it was tucked in a corner and difficult to sit at because we were smashed in a wall on one side and there was a main walkthrough on the other so we couldn't really move the table, not a huge deal. Well I think we were in between sections so that caused most of the confusion. Our server brings drinks, takes apps order. Apps were small, we eat and server stops to take our order. We have to shout orders, the volume of the TVs are so loud and switching between fights and college football and whatever else. We get our orders in and settle in for the food thinking all is well now. Food starts arriving 1 person at a time, after several minutes we are only waiting on one more thing, and meals are incomplete( wing combo didn't come with fries ) and my 3 year old has yet to get his order of chicken tenders. Server stops by to ask if we want more alcohol, we decline and ask about the last order of tenders, she says we didn't order any through her so "who did we order from?". We definitely ordered through her at the same time as everything else, she says 'oh well if you did I didn't hear you' . Yeah we all just wanted to eat and not order food for my son š suuure. Throughout the whole meal we saw food being trounced back and forth aimlessly by servers that looked lost, and things kept being brought to the table next to us who didn't order food. We talked with them and they told us they kept getting food delivered to them that they didn't order, we had a laugh about it. Then another double vodka shows up mysteriously that we declined. We ate all the food, drank all the drinks and everything turned out fine but the total confusion and shouting to communicate wasn't great. It was my 8 year olds birthday and he wanted to try B Dubs wings so badly. BWW has gone so downhill in food quality, price, and service I don't think I'll ever be back by choice.
If you want to get sloppy drunk and potentially eat an order of wings I'd recommend If you want to have a family meal just go to Texas roadhouse or red robin...
Ā Ā Ā Read moreHad a very disappointing experience yesterday. Was told if would be a 5 - 10 minute wait unless we wanted to go into the bar area, this was with a significant number of empty tables. I assumed it was a staffing issue as it was apparently not a COVID-19 spacing issue as other guests were seated next to each other. We said we would wait. Eventually we were seated in one of the many available tables and others who arrived after us were immediately seated without waiting. Note that at this point no guests who were there when we arrived had left. Once seated we waited for someone to ask for a drink or food order, but nothing. Wait staff walked by our table being careful to not make eye contact. Finally after another table was seated and drink and food order was taken with at least two visits by a server, I spoke to the host. He explained our waitress was working on a split ticket. Apparently split tickets are difficult and take at least 20 minutes. We did finally have someone come over to take a drink order and said our wait person would be with us shortly. I expressed my dismay that others seated after us had drink and food orders taken after us and he went ahead and took our food order. A significant time after receiving our food order we finally met the wait person that had not yet been to our table. Very disappointing and no apology. Finally to the food, fries with southwest BBQ seasoning were very good. Boneless wings were ok, I'll stick to the bone-in next time. I suspect the blue cheese dressing served with the wings was not prepared properly, it seemed that a dressing base had been prepared, but no blue cheese added. It was very bland with no hint of blue cheese flavor. The other party had ranch dressing and as a comparison allowed me to taste it, it was definitely ranch and not the same dressing I had received. So overall an extremely disappointing experience. Suggestions to Buffalo Wild Wings. 1. Encourage staff to cover tables when another wait person is delayed, don't leave your customers waiting. Based on what I saw, it wasn't a team environment, but rather a territory environment. 2. Check your blue cheese dressing and if it was made properly, consider modifying the recipe to include actual...
