To start we ordered Top Shelf drinks I had a Margarita that tasted like a tequila only slush with hardly any mix and this was MEXICAN Restaurant! My daughter ordered a lemon drop and it was brown and tasted awful. So I very very nicely asked the waiter to please make the lemon drop without the brown liquor they put in it and please put more mix in mine. From that point even though I was super nice everything went downhill. We needs more chips and asked for them but didn't get them for at least 30 mins it took 30 mins for our food and since they did make the lemon drop the right way the 2nd time it took another 20 mins for her drinks. I didn't even drink my top shelf margarita it was so bad the 2nd time he brought it back. I had asked for sour cream with my tacos of course I had to asks again. The people become very rude after I very very nicely in the beginning asked for them to change the drinks. So don't go here if you're on a schedule we were and it took 2 hours from start to finish. Plus it was my daughter's graduation present! Very sad that we can't ask for what we are PAYING alot of money for to be RIGHT! I spend 75 bucks on some top self lemon drops a 15 dollar Top Shelf Margarita that was awful and left on the table full and they should KNOW to make that. I mean really? And their food sucked.. ...
Read moreThis place is our go to now for good Mexican food! And the staff were sooo friendly. I have 3 things I watch for when judging a Mexican restaurant: chips and salsa, horchata, and the enchiladas and tamales (my go to). I am SO happy to say all three were delicious! First, chips and salsa: salsa flavor and spice were perfect, chips tasted like they were NOT just poured from a bag (which is good), and they also bring out some ref. beans to dip in as well that tastes yummy! Second, horchata: HOMEMADE! need I say more? Third, my go to: I got the combination 3 plate with a chicken enchilada, shredded beef enchilada, and a tamale. These were yummy too! Though I will say that the chicken and shredded beef in the enchiladas didn't have as much flavor themselves. The flavor came from the sauce and cheese on top. Still tasted good. And they give you HUGE plates! I had two full meals from my one plate (leftovers heated well). Their guac is good too!
My husband got a smothered burrito and said the same about the meat could've had more flavor, but overall really liked it!
We also got the melted queso dip with chorizo on top for an appetizer and it was SO good! So many calories, I'm sure, but worth it. It was VERY...
Read moreUpdated 2024. I developed shellfish allergy, I cannot have majority of their plates because they use same pans to cook & don't have time to thoroughly clean them to make sure no cross contact occurs (2 waitresses have told me this). I can't eat their chips because to my surprise they use same fryer used to fry shrimp. I went end of July. They charged me twice (found out afterwards)- I've called 4 times and same lady tells me the owner has to reverse the charge... In Sept now and still HAVE NOT gotten a call back.
6 years ago** Hands down, best Mexican place in Meridian. Food is delicious & the horchata is the best... Taste real, has a great thickness to it, not like the powder one.. Service is above 5 star! I would highly recommend Mi Casa! Since mo ing her from California ive tried many Mex restaurants and this is the best by far!! Try the "Camarones ala Crema" or the "Molcajete"... Cant go wrong...
