I had my 2017 10.5 iPad Pro fall while plugged in and the end of the lightning plug broke off inside the charging port. I was unable to remove it safely myself, so I took it to a local repair shop, and they told me that they don’t fix iPad Pro’s due to having to solder. They wouldn’t even attempt to remove the broken plug due to the charging port being an integrated component and they could possibly cause further damage.

I ran it up to the mall after that and found a guy I’ve used at a iFixIt kiosk before, and after 30 minutes, he was able to remove the tip of the plug with the small tools he had. It was clear at that time the charging port was damaged and not responding to a charge. I gave the guy some $ since he didn’t want to charge me since it wouldn’t charge. I asked if he could replace the charging port and his manager told me I would need Apple to fix it as he didn’t have a soldering bench.

My immediate thought was I would just need to wipe this iPad clean, toss it, and purchase a new one as the repairs by Apple seemed to be in the $300 - $600 range.

I googled the repair and watched a few YouTube videos and quickly realized why no one wanted to mess with this repair. It’s complex… So, I then googled iPad Pro charging port repair and iMaster came up. They seemed to specialize in these complex repairs and are based out of Idaho. I was able to just add a charging port repair for a 10.5 inch iPad Pro to my cart, pay, and a few minutes later a USPS priority label arrived from iMaster repair.

I backed up my iPad Pro, wiped it, boxed it up, and took it to the post office. I received notifications along the way from iMaster that they had received my iPad, the repair had been completed, and was being sent back with a tracking number. The entire process took a week and I was well informed along the way.

It arrived yesterday and I’ve restored my iCloud backup, upgraded to iOS 15, and it’s charging great. I received a handwritten letter from the CEO thanking me for my business and a quality control checklist. All in all, this was a great service at a fair price. I would highly recommend...

I was experiencing the dreaded "This accessory is not supported by this device" error on my iPad Pro 10.5. I purchased new apple/MFI (Mad for iPhone/iPad)l lightning cables and charging cubes, thinking that was my issue. No luck! Do not go here for anything Apple related. Go to the Apple store who actually know how to help. My MacBook's screen suddenly stopped working one day and I brought it in to be repaired. Originally, I was told that I was looking at a 4 day wait time for repair. 31 days later, I was told that they could not figure out the issue with my MacBook and that it was "unfixable". Prior to them working on my laptop, the computer showed signs of life and would still power on, but after they had worked on it, it was completely dead and showed no signs of life whatsoever. Prior to bringing it in, the laptop could hold a charge no problem and now it does not. Not sure what was done to it that caused this to happen. My laptop was returned in worse condition than when I had brought it in. Throughout the process, I was given little to no information as to the status of my laptop and had to consistently call them for updates. I would give zero stars if that was possible. Update: took it to the Apple store and it is completely shot after it was worked on here. Now have to spend upwards of $1500 for a new laptop. Should’ve just went to Apple in the...
