Every experience is a lesson. The lesson here is to take pictures when you first enter a hotel room to document how it looks. Unfortunately, after driving across America and booking rooms the night prior with ZERO issues, I failed to document this particular room and hotel. Upon check in, we were told we were moved to a different floor due to our Platinum status but we could stay on the 1st floor since we have dogs. Well, our dogs have been doing great riding the elevator so we continued on with our “platinum” member room. As this was the final hotel before our destination, I felt I was well versed on the form to sign when dogs are staying in the room. I was not well versed in being charged an insane amount of money for alleged damages that my dogs DID NOT do. There was never a time that our dogs were left alone. We checked in, brought our suitcases in, then left. We drove around WITH our dogs. Went to a grocery store and picked up food. We came back and ate then EVERYONE went to sleep. We woke up early, packed up and left. We checked out face to face in order to have a hard copy receipt. Fast forward, the hotel charged the card on file for alleged damages they are blaming on our dogs. Initially, we found out about from checking the statement. My husband called and oh, the manager is in a meeting but will email the photos. We waited ALL day and it wasn’t until I disputed the charges in the IHG app that we finally received said email. The photos contradict the furniture that was actually in our room. Zero time stamp. You can reply to me the same way as you did my husband’s review. This isn’t about a dog parent thinking or knowing their dogs aren’t capable of destructive behavior. It is more the principle of the issue. They were never left alone to destroy anything. The furniture does not match the room we stayed in. If you are as decent a manager as you think, why didn’t we get a courtesy phone call? Terrible customer service skills. Managers are never around to take our call and they stopped responding to emails. Terrible business practices. Stay here at...
Read moreThis was the best Holiday Inn Express that my husband and I stayed at on May 3 & 9. I didn't catch the name of the gal that checked us in the first night about 7:00 pm, but she was very friendly and welcoming. Our large room with a king bed was on the first floor which we wanted because I'm handicapped. In case of a fire alarm, I don't have to rely on stairs to get out. The room was so roomy, quiet and comfy. We liked the free wi-fi available. SO new and clean. When we checked out the next morning, we asked for the same room, 129. Kyle put our request in the comment section, while training Katie. Both were smiling and friendly to us. On May 9th, we were checked in by the same gal that checked us in on May 3, whom was friendly and efficient. A gal had put out 2 cookies, hoping that we'd pick them up. We did. We had a great night's rest in room 129, which we requested. The next morning as we were checking out, Katie and Olivia were at the desk. Olivia was so nice and training Katie. Katie was a trainee--very receptive and attentive to the trainer and guests. Turned out Olivia was the one that put the cookies out hoping we'd pick them up. She was delighted to hear that we picked up the cookies. So sweet of her to have put them out for us. I also mentioned that Katy Lee was a great host during the complimentary breakfast. She made everyone feel at home and welcome. I asked Katy about it, and she said that the hotel wanted to provide a "great guest experience." I have never witnessed anyone in a Holiday Inn Express be so hospitable in the dining area. Wow, I was so impressed by so many staff members. They were extremely helpful, friendly, hard-working professional. I highly recommend staying there...
Read moreI’ll start by saying that I just don’t write reviews but I will lurk through the reviews others have left looking for any hint of dissatisfaction, discomfort, or the like Basically I’m a review snob but keeping in mind there’s always a couple reviews from people who can never be satisfied. Holiday Inn Express & Suites Meridian-Boise West met all my criteria prior to making my reservations. Comfy beds, very clean, no mention of bugs, kind staff, tasty free breakfast, pet friendly but doesn’t smell like pets, etc. We checked in on a Friday and right away I noticed they had thought of everything. From doggy 💩 bags right down to marking the pillow cases with the level of comfort they provided (ex. Firm, Soft). This hotel did not disappoint and actually exceeded my expectations. So comfortable and clean, I slept like a baby and actually preferred to spend my off time in the hotel throughout my 3 night stay. What made this Holiday Inn Express rise above the other hotel stays in my past, were the gals at the front desk. Kate and Yana were AMAZING! Anything I needed for myself or my pet was met with a huge smile and an unmatched willingness to meet my request. Fun to interact with and very informative about all things hotel and local area related. So here I am, writing a review for a much deserving business, one that I hope will help others decide - this is THE place to stay whenever in the area....
