Books-A-Million — Local services in Merritt Island

Placed an order for pick-up on what turned out to be the last day the old location was open. I received a call pretty much immediately telling me this, which was great, but they said I had to be in by 4 - I was planning to come in after work at 5:30. Person I spoke with told me order would cancel and I could just place it again the next day to the new location . I made sure to clarify it would be open- was told yes. Come in 2 days after that, old store closed. New store not yet open. My charge still hasn't processed back to my account, and I found out the old location was actually open for an additional day which was never communicated to me - found out incidentally on social media.

I understand the opening delays were out of anyones' control, but I think I am frustrated that I was misled to believe that my order would cancel that night when it seems like it probably sat in the system until the 96 hour period was over. It also would have been nice to receive a call saying, "hey, we're open an extra day you can come in and get your order still!", rather than have the money I paid held up for a week with no books to show for it. Not a good...

Walking into the new location of Books-A-Million in Merrit Island truly feels like stepping into book lover heaven. I loved it! Especially the scent of fresh pages and the cozy atmosphere is so welcoming. The layout is thoughtfully designed with helpful signs that guide you to every section, easy to do your searching for fiction, self-help, kids’ books, or hidden gems. My favorite was Personal Growth section and fantasy!

The staff were genuinely kind and eager to help, and store manager Gloria deserves a special shoutout. Her passion for creating a space that feels like a community hub is clear. From organizing fun events to curating thoughtful promotions, she's turning this bookstore into something so much more than retail—it’s becoming a gathering space for curious minds of all ages.

Beyond books, the store offers puzzles, games, and crafts, making it a fantastic spot for families and creative souls. This place is a real local gem and a joy to visit. Highly recommend stopping by and supporting this beautiful new chapter for Books-A-Million! I cant wait to come back with...

Lots of items to choose from! Everything is marked well and layed out in sections. Pleasing to the eye and bargains are available in middle section so easy to locate. The store offers a huge variety of books and other things like action figures, puzzles and or games that are related to the section you're looking in. There's quite a bit of collectables also. I enjoyed browsing and I think the best part was watching my grandson become so excited over his favorite characters and bedtime stories. The books are also great for people speaking other languages as well. There was several books available in various languages. Nice selection and great prices are the first thoughts I had...
