I ordered online and got the lunch special with my friend at work. She ordered 6 oz steak with a baked potato. Baked potato was awesome! I ordered the cheeseburger medium and the grilled corn. We both got sides of French onion soup. We also got the bread. Dessert we got the chocolate stampede.
The bad: French onion soup was extremely salty. You literally will gag through every bite and most likely go into cardiac arrest. The French onion soup size were inconsistent. I had to pour half of the soup into the other half like we were siblings sharing. The bread did not come with any butter resulting in a bite that was dryer than the Sahara desert. My burger was well done and not medium. Steak was requested medium rare, but came barely medium and was extremely veiny. Thus Causing my friend to chew ridiculously and the steak barely able to make its way down her esophagus. Oh! And guess what! They forgot my corn. And I sure do love corn - just like that cute kid on YouTube. Also order was to be picked up at 3:00pm and was not until 3:15pm.
The good: the baked potato was freaking delicious, it was like rationing during an apocalypse because it was the only thing that was edible. I called to explain it was my first time trying longhorn ever in my oh so boring life. I didn’t really say that! But it’s true. The manager was super bubbly and polite and apologized for all the mistakes. She offered a gift card or compensation. Obviously the appropriate choice was compensation. However, there was no specific answer as to what was going to be compensated. Thank you Jesus that we ordered a dessert that can feed an entire army. Oh my god soooooooooooooooooo delicious.
I’m not sure I will order from there again. But the manager again was super super nice so because of that I may try...
Read moreI grew up on Merritt Island and I have come to this Long Horn many times over the years. I have never been treated so poorly at ANY restaurant. Our visit started with being told it was a 20 min wait for a table. Then the hostess sat a table of 6 that came in after us in the areas that can hold larger groups. When they said our tables were ready they had informed me that our party would have to be split into two separate groups or we were more than welcome to take our business somewhere else. (This all coming from the manager) Then half our group was at a table had a great waitress and was done eating within a hour. My table has a waitress Kristen S who was too busy waiting on other tables so much so that we watched two tables turn before we even left. It took her 30 mins just to get our checks. We arrived at 5:30 PM and didn’t leave til 8PM. Kristen S. Still got a tip from one of our party members and we let her know she didn’t deserve it and her response was that my party was “horrible customers all night” the manager and waitress were completely unprofessional and I WILL NOT be back to this location. Also when we went into their restaurant it was hot we asked if they could turn down the AC to which all their employees even agreed that it was hot and other tables around us. We were told the manager said a couple tables had complained about it being cold and they weren’t going to turn...
Read moreService was slow once seated. Drinks came then it took a while to get straws. Bread was served hot but it took more than 10 minutes to get silverware to cut and eat it. Hard to get a refill on drinks. Food was about to be delivered to the wrong table. I had to wave my hand to let the server know that it was ours. Steak was not cooked as ordered. Steak sauce was slow to arrive. We asked for both A1 and Heinz 57. We only received one.
Not sure I will ever visit this location again. We were visiting on vacation and I felt like we're were truly overlooked. The server was nice but he was not good at managing his tables. He constantly made us an afterthought once he served everyone else. The Manager on duty spoke really loudly "AT" us when we informed her that we needed silverware to eat our bread that had already gotten cold. She proceeded to say that the bread is now "pull a part bread" and you no longer need a knife to cut it or silverware to eat it! ...Well hun, maybe everyone doesn't like the whole table touching thier piece of bread! REALLY?? just get the silverware.
As a family we have always enjoyed Longhorn but this one left a bad taste in my heart. I am fighting pulling the race card as we did not "look" like the other families in there tonight..but the type of service we received felt underrated, as if it was because of the color...
