SMARTSTYLE — Local services in Mexia

Went in 2/18/22 to get my hair washed. We are nearby for an event, and have used this salon when here previously for the same thing. Requested a basic wash, no dry. While washing my hair, I informed her that due to an injury and depression, my hair hygiene had taken a small hit, so it was a little tangly. She said she was going to use a deep conditioner, but everything was rinsed immediately after application and I’ve never had a deep conditioner that… quick - I assumed she did not use one. She had me sit to comb it, then put a cape on me a started putting product in my hair. Then said “let me dry it so you can see how much it helps”. She continuously tried pushing products that I never asked for, trying to get me to purchase them even though I said I had no desire to purchase. She then upcharged the “deep condition” and blow out. I try to tip generously the total wasn’t the issue in the amount, so the only person that hurt was her. (What was $7 last time was nearly $40, so the $45 I brought seemed adequate until checkout). However I solely requested a wash with no additional add ons as I’m at an outdoor event with wind. I have after products, I just forgot shampoo and conditioner. I had plans to meet my wife for dinner later that evening. When I got to saloon I had no wait and was giving a stylist right away. As I was setting in chair stylist asked how I wanted my hair cut. I stated short on top, Layered, top of the ear and rounded collar length in back. As the young lady combed through my hair trying to find my part. I asked for comb and parted it for her. I got a snobby thank you. As I watched her threw mirror and could see there was a problem and was turned so I couldn't wstch her threw mirror. As she cut and combed threw my hair I could see wasn't interested in cutting my hair. She was more interested in ear husseling her co worker that was on the other side of room. This went on for about 15mins. Finally she turned me to mirror and was combing my hair and said there u go.... I stated your finished?? Yes sir she said. At this point I was some kind of pist off. I Got up from chair and stated to her that she had no clue to what she was doing. She mouthed something back to me. I tried to pay and get mgr. Name an number she said I didn't have to pay. Sonya is very rude and not very good customer service rep. Another stylist had ask her a question, she then shrugged and rolled her eyes. Then another stylist had then asked her to answer the phone, she then said “I’m busy.” while sitting down cleaning her station, other stylist actually had clients. My stylist was Rebecca, she is the sweetest can be. I enjoyed my buzz cut from her! Another lady who is blonde, Stacy? was super sweet also and enjoyed her and Ms Rebecca’s time! Ms Sonya was very rude and disrespectful towards everyone, and when you try to say Hello she ignores you! Definitely not someone i would love...
