Renegade Pilates, is a new boutique studio that opened late November 2016. I took a few classes early December and am totally hooked; now I go 2x a week. I like everything about this place:
The location is easy to get to and from; it’s on 79th street just off of Biscayne Blvd
The studio is new and is full of light so you do not feel closed in
It is easy to park because they have their own lot
The reformers and all the equipment are new
The owner, Leslie, is super nice and goes out of her way to be accommodating and really appreciates your business – how refreshing is that!
They have an 11am class everyday that is almost impossible to find anywhere else
Galina and Mercedes are awesome teachers; they make sure to explain every thing so it's easy to follow even if you are a beginner like me
I have never been one to stretch and recently had problems because of it. Most recently, my ankle had been hurting to the point that I had to go for physical treatment sessions. But I no longer have to do that since going to Renegade Pilates. The teachers taught me how to stretch and strengthen my ankle by using the reformer machine via the group classes. I also run a lot and my muscles used to ache but no more since I have been going to Renegade.
I was telling a friend about all of this and she decided to try a class with me. She liked it so much that she brought her husband and now they are hooked like me.
So if you can not tell by now, I highly recommend the Renegade Pilates studio located at 649 NE 79th...

Although I am an avid yoga practitioner, I was just recently exposed to the Pilates reformer class and found it a great complement to my exercise routine. I love the fact that I am patronizing 79th Street; I have lived in this neighborhood for almost 30 years and am delighted to see this area finally sprouting. The studio is in a nice high ceiling building, which is great, because you spend a lot of time lying on the machine, it is bright and crisp. It is small, which I like, because it allows for individualized attention. The teacher, Galina, is fabulous, really precise, with a sharp focus and patient. It is a low impact exercise routine that focuses on muscles that you didn’t even know existed. Classes are 50 minutes long, so you know you can endure anything for 50 minutes. Leslie, the owner, is very welcoming, she has established a friendly and personable atmosphere in the studio which makes you smile just by walking in. It is really...
Read moreLet's just start by saying that Renegade has changed my life and I absolutely LOVE this studio! It has truly become like a second family in less than a year that I've been attending. I was diagnosed with Hashimotos a little over a year ago and no other type of workout or trainer was able to help with regulating my hormones and make me feel good again .The first month after starting Pilates with Leslie, I saw immediate change in my mood, weight, posture, energy etc. Leslie is a wonderful human being and an amazing teacher. She's so tentative and caring. She makes sure to personalize each class based on everyone's needs and somehow she makes it work and it's wonderful. The studio has a very clean, peaceful vibe to it and all the reformers are like new. I look forward to each day that I attend Renegade. I feel absolutely amazing and I'm loving my body again. I'm very proud of the progress I've made and it's all thanks to Leslie and her team....
