I think we just had the best retail experience of our lifetime! Despite living in Palm Beach County our local showroom options for hi-fi equipment are very limited so we initially reached out to Eric to discuss some challenges we were experiencing with our current hi-fi system. This impromptu phone call resulted in almost an hour of Eric carefully asking questions regarding our equipment, our room, music preferences, and use cases before he even began to offer his opinions. Eventually, Eric suggested we might be seeing some limitations with our current amplifier and invited us down to audition some options. A day later we were on the road to Miami. Our reception by Eric and his assistant Federico was warm and free of the pretense one often encounters when shopping for high end audio equipment. Eric has a fantastic facility that's casual, inviting and built around his obvious passion for high quality audio. Imagine our pleasant surprise when we found out that we had the entire facility to ourselves! Eric and Federico had our same speakers setup with a variety of amplifiers and proceeded to demo the same music we had discussed the day before. Not sound clips mind you, but the entire song from beginning to end being mindful to point out and discuss subtle differences with each piece of equipment. After an hour of comparisons and discussions we were convinced the amplifier was indeed the limiting factor in our system. Eric had the sale at that point, but rather than rush us he then took the time to demo the remainder of his equipment. Another hour and half passed as we demoed multiple systems. What a treat! At the end of our session I was ready to purchase the amplifier, but Eric insisted that he demo the unit in our home on our system before he would proceed with the sale. The following week his assistant Federico made the roundtrip from Miami to our home in North Palm Beach with the demo amplifier. He carefully listened to our existing system then installed the new amplifier. Just as in Miami our system sang like never before! At this point we were allowed to place our order. Two weeks later Federico again made the journey from Miami to North Palm Beach with our new amplifier for the installation. The installation was done with great care and expertise. To my wife's delight, Federico even took the time to carefully hide the wires. The result is audio bliss! Again, this is probably the single best retail experience I have encountered in my lifetime. Sound Lux review

After weeks of research into the world of hifi, I was going round in circles not knowing what system was right for me, the endless options were overwhelming and I just wanted to get it right. I decided to seek out a local audio store and came across Sound Lux. Not knowing it was by appointment only, I rang the buzzer and Eric kindly invited me up to the studio unannounced. Having only just met Eric, he greeted me into the studio like an old friend, and we spent the next hour chatting music, listening to different systems and by the end I had a clear vision of what I wanted and Eric was going to help build it for me. It was exactly what I had been looking for, and all too serendipitous.

From then on it just got better and better. Eric and his colleague, Federico, put together a full system spec. and sent over a quote. In a matter of a couple weeks, the system had arrived, and they invited me back to the studio to listen to it. I walked in and they had everything set up, with my own chair to listen and a complimentary drink. I spent the next 1.5 hours by myself listening to the system, getting lost in the sound. It was truly an epic moment.

From there Federico took over, he hand delivered the system to my home, set everything up and tuned it to my space. He spent an hour teaching me every control and way to use it. On top of that they gave me a complimentary cleaning brush! The system is my pride and joy, and is by far the greatest investment I've made and a massive part of that is down to genuine care and enthusiasm the guys provided along the way.

I'm new to the hifi world and listening to both Eric and Federico's backgrounds in music and their endless passion for it has left me forever inspired to keep learning.

What a fabulous experience! The shop is in a kind of run down industrial area. I found a small sign outside and phoned as there was no apparent way in. After giving my name over the phone, Stephen of the staff came downstairs to bring me in.

We entered a freight elevator, went up three floors, then down a hall, and Steven opened a heavy door and ushered me into a really beautiful, large loft which I never would have guessed lurked in these shabby surroundings.

I told Steven I wanted to check out some headphones. He asked if I wanted a tour first, and as I had plenty of time I said "Sure."

Steven and I were the only ones in the loft, and I had his full attention. He demonstrated systems ranging from $1,500 to about $100,000. They are really into tubes and vinyl. The $100,000 system sounded like being at a concert. It was awesome and much more than my budget for sound.

Then we went to the headphone room. It was small and had a rack of about 20 headphones. Steven went to and fro to bring demo headphones for me to try in another space. He was extremely helpful and accommodating, and even let me use his laptop so I could replicate the streaming Spotify setup I use at home, compare it with Tidal, and try out the Chord Mojo which I wound up purchasing.

Steven is a great guy- a Grammy nominated musician and sound engineer. Loved the store: zero pressure, knowledgable staff, very educational approach without putting me down, and they host events with local record stores and others--seem to be building a sense of community. Highly...
