I'm giving it 2 stars because I went to the one in Parma. I had a cart full of things but I was in line before 9p when they closed but since they had a long line it was a little after 9 when i got to the front. Before the lady even called me to come to the front you could tell she had an attitude .
She looked at my cart and sighed and asked me if i knew they closed at 9.
Then she rung up like 2 items and started huffing and puffing and asked if my whole cart was as filled up as it looked.
I kept a positive attitude the whole time and was polite . I asked her how her day was going and apologized for taking so long with my shopping.
I know that returns suck at the end of the night so I didnt want a few things in my cart but i was going to buy all 300/400 dollars worth of stuff just to eliminate her having to do any returns.
She rung up a few more items and start huffing and puffin again and asked "are you gonna buy everything you have in the cart?"
I told her that I had every intention on doing so for the most part and she continued with her attitude and sighing . Then she came across 2 items that didnt have a price on them and got mad and threw them to the side like "I'm gonna have to call somebody for this" with that same piss poor attitude..
So I told her it's cool, I dont even want it and she looked at me and I could see the attitude all over her face, so I told her for the things I'm not getting I could put back so she dont have to since its clear she had an attitude. Her coworker looked at her and looked at me and then she said "no it's okay, you didnt do anything wrong, that's my job, yea I'm irritated but it's not your fault" and you can tell it wasnt sincere it was just so that I didnt report her or she didnt get in trouble or what not ..
Then I used my coupons which you need a gabes card to even recieve. After taking my coupons . She tells me I can swipe my card and I told her I wanted the points from my order because it was a large order which would've gave me more 5 dollar off coupons . She told me it was too late BEFORE I EVEN PAID FOR MY STUFF. I've been a cashier at many places and I know all it takes is just pressing one button on the screen to go back ..
But she told me I could call the number on the receipt and do a whole bunch of unnecessary things as opposed to her just typing in my phone number. Then as I'm walking away I tell her to have a nice night and apologized for the inconvenience and her coworker walks over and starts laughing and giggling and talking under her breath ...
I havent called corporate yet but I will definitely be givin them a call once I grab the receipt out my car to get the date of my transaction.
I'm proud of myself for being as professional as I was because that's not my place of employment and I could've easily been just as ignorant as she was . But I chose to be the bigger person .
Other than that, it's usually my favorite store to shop . But one bad experience can ruin something...
Read moreWas at this store today around 2:30pm. Found a long sleeve dry shirt with no price. Asked an associate to determine a price. She brought back a short sleeve Reebok shirt of the same color and told me to take both to the register. I said I was not going to do that. I asked for a manager to get a price. Waited 20 minutes in Men's Wear. As I waited, I called Gabe's corporate customer service number, but could not reach anyone. Was told the manager was at lunch. Then I was taken to the registers were the manager was busy at a register. Don't know how the manager was at lunch and in the time it took to walk from Men's Wear to the register she was back working. Finally got to talk to what I was told was the manager. Instead of putting a price on it... it turned into three people looking for the same shirt on the racks to determine at price. I guess no one at this store has the authority to put a price on a item. I couldn't take anymore and walked out...
Read moreI usually have positive experiences at this location, however, I had an unpleasant interaction with a cashier today by the name of Tina, who was a middle aged lady with black hair. I came with my mother to do an exchange of a set of scrubs, and upon coming to the register, I said hello and Tina did not acknowledge me or respond. She then processed my exchange, and my mother asked if she needed the card that we purchased the item with, and she completely ignored her. She then just pushed the scrubs back to us after processing it, without bagging it or saying anything. She was extremely rude and dismissive, and I have never had such an experience with a cashier before, I’m extremely...
