Of all the places that cater to the pool leagues, Rookies offers the most. They are very conscious about the condition of the tables and the quality (mostly Diamond tables). They are not afraid to spend money to attract business. They also have a lot of space for the dart leagues. The biggest I have seen around actually. Their drinks are priced similar to other larger venue sports bars and their food as well. They do run specials though and that will save quite a bit of money. Food is very good but the service staff is excellent. Sometimes it may take a bit to get to you but they never forget an order or a person.
If you want to go just to have something to do on a saturday night, you will not be disappointed. If you like dance music and a fun, uptempo environment, this is a great place. Add in the pool and dart aspect and you have things to do outside of music. It is spacious and have a lot of seating. Cheri is my favorite server though. She is sweet, thoughtful, funny and extremely hard working. Not sure she ever leaves actually. She often runs the floor and is the reason i like going there.
Overall, if you like a quiet place to eat, this may not be the place for you but if you like social interaction and positive atmosphere, this is absolutely a place you...

Just because youāre drinking doesnāt mean the world stopped spinning. Keep your eyes up, your pockets tight, and donāt move sloppy.
The music usually slaps. The video DJ setup adds a clean visual edge. Credit where itās due.
Now letās talk about presence. Parma Heights PD š šØ is out here circling like a pack of coyotes šŗ...always close, always watching š waiting for some movement to pounce on. They're not necessarily the enemy, but make no mistake, theyāre hunting for action. If you're not built for pressure, know when to exit.
And hereās the real warning: watch the bar. One of the bartenders took it upon herself to āeditā her tip next to my signature. Thought she was slick. Thatās not hustle, thatās fraud. I got every penny back, but understand, this is your one pass. Pull that stunt with the wrong person and itās no longer a refund situation, itās a felony. You donāt know who might be undercover. Sheās lucky I didnāt make it a case over crumbs she clearly needed, but trust, Iāve seen LESS lead to charges.
Bottom line: this spot can hit, but only if you move smart. Get careless, and youāll either get got, or get caught....
Ā Ā Ā Read moreLooks like a great place to be if you're a league player. Enjoy smoking right in front of the entrance or just hanging out to eat or drink. Good beer selection, and people seem to enjoy the food Cigarette smokers love smelling homeless, and they love it when you smell homeless, too, which is apparent by the gaggle of chain smokers hanging out right by the front door. They ha e nice diamond pool tables but don't show up without your own cues because the house cues are not much better than a freshly cut branch off of the oak tree out back. I looked at 25 house cues and only found one with an actual tip. If you can call it that. The rest simply had chalk on the ferrule. (The white part under the tip). It sucks that they would buy a dozen or so $5000+ tables but can't put tips on their cues. The other part I hate is the "pay buy the game feature." $1.25/game might be a great deal for an a.p.a. 3, but I clear tables quickly. Especially by myself. It would be nice if they had an hourly rate. Oh, well. As far as I know, it's the only place with diamonds in the area. I guess I'll just hang out and watch the Indians struggle against the...
