Upon this evening's twilight, I did find myself at the doors of the esteemed Krispy Kreme in Middleburg Heights, with a mission to acquire a bevy of doughnuts for the fine individuals who toil alongside me. As I approached the counter, a young gentleman there stationed met my inquiry with a countenance of such discontent that one might have thought I had disturbed him from a task of great import.
His eyes did betray a rolling disdain, as if my humble request for doughnuts was a burden most grievous. Yet, in the spirit of grace and understanding, I did cede to him the authority to select an assorted dozen, for it was clear as the day is long that his trials in the service of doughnuts had been many.
There I stood, a solitary figure in this bastion of glazed and frosted treasures, with not a soul to be seen at the drive-thru, reflecting on the peculiar solitude of our encounter. It is my hope that this young man's evening might be brightened by the knowledge that his efforts, though perhaps unheralded, are indeed appreciated by...
Read moreOn the way home I decide donuts sound good. I check the app and it shows the hot light is on. I pull in and the hot light is on from the window. I get 3 donuts from drive through in a box. As I'm driving I open the box to steal a bite of one and they're the most dried out, old donuts I've seen, like what you would expect from the back of your car after a week. The staff were friendly and did nothing wrong, but why would you serve these?? The picture doesn't do it justice, as soon as I saw I knew they were going to be terrible. I did try one and they had an off taste, so I threw it all away when I got home. A waste of $5.50 and dealing with more traffic was extremely frustrating.
I've usually ignored their hot light as it's a roll of the dice if they're actually serving hot donuts, I made the mistake today of trusting it and for the price you're better off supporting a local shop like Royal Donut or...
Read moreTerrible customer service. Stopped to get my kids donuts on my way home from work this morning. Go a dozen at the drive thru and headed home. Half of my dozen was incorrect. When I called to tell them about this I was hung up on the first time. So I called back because I live 25 minutes away and was not going back. I explained what happened to the lady that answered and she said she would replace my donuts next time I was in the area. So I told her which donuts I was supposed to get and what I got 4 different times before she finally got it correct. Then she took down my name and said I could stop by. When she said she had wrote my name “Jonathan” which is not my name in the book I corrected her and she said I was just complaining now. I said no I was correcting you on my name and was hung up...
