Bland! The food was really bland. I've lived in Ohio for 3 years and always have high hopes I'll find good mexican food. What I end up with is epic disappointment! Where's the spices, where's the cilantro, where's the flavor, and for the love of all things STOP putting that gross white cheese sauce on everything, especially inside enchiladas! It doesn't belong. I can usually overlook gross food because chips & salsa are almost always decent & wait staff friendly but not here. Menu had 3 different prices for kids meals. Asked the waitress & she didn't know. So I ordered a small plate of rice & beans for my kids (normally charged like $3) for something like this. Nope! We were charged $5 each + the highest price for our other child's kids meal. I've never paid so much for mexican food??? As we were pulling out of the restaurant i saw a sign "$2.99 kids meals"! Um, ok. Glad i was overcharged. We had to ask 2 different waiters for silverware, chips, & water. Don't waste your time or $.

I'm from El Paso but live in Fort Worth, TX. Visiting Cleveland for work. I always try the local Mexican cuisine wherever I'm visiting. My visit to El Rodeo in Cleveland was surprisingly good. I had the carnitas a la Mexicana (shredded pork with onions and jalapeños). The presentation was great and smelled good. It was served with corn tortillas (my choice), and it was good but a little dry. Accompanied with rice and chopped cabbage. The salsa was okay (pace salsa style). The chips were from a bag, and the tortillas seemed to have been warmed in a microwave. The food was pretty good and the beer was cold. The service was good and friendly. The atmosphere was inviting. I'd come back.

I had the burrito degollado and I have to say it is the best burrito I have had in “clevland” area. I come from California where Mexican food is notorious in my region. The ambiance/decor is perfect for Mexican cuisine giving it more of a authentic setting. I also ordered the guacamole which I’ve tasted better in other restaurants but it was just too creamy for me like if they mixed sour cream to get more out of it. Overall, it did not disappoint and I will be coming back here when visiting clevland.

I normally don’t write reviews but this had my head spinning! And keep in mind I was a waitress, bartender and a licensed cosmetologist for 25 yrs so I been in the industry long enough as well! We ordered the lunch menu well my friend says just shrimp and lobster why did it come back with steak she never asked her if she wanted steak or to add meat! Now my friend is vegetarian and has many digestive issues and would gotten really sick so we tell her that and she can’t have meat and she only wanted the shrimp and lobster she comes back with a new one….as she sees in the first one or 2 bits no steak as she picking through she finds steak so we immediately grossed out hoping the first bits won’t make her sick and we tell the waitress and she says nothing she can do says that she has to pay I go why the first one was made wrong the second time was still wrong there was meat in it still when we asked u to redo it! And they still put meat in there! All they said was they can make another one again I go no she doesn’t want that anymore 2 times sending it back still not made correctly! She didn’t get sick thank goodness but me however yes I did cause I ate my food don’t know what they did to it but now I’m throwing up and also having diarrhea after eating here! I eat out but never got treated like this! This place was an awful experience ppl were rude to us…oh and they don’t ever have a manager there they had to text them when I asked to speak to the manager she says no manager!! And since she ate 2 bits they wouldn’t take it off after we sent it back 2 times and still came back with meat in it! Hmmm all they did was pick the meat out and they forgot some no way if supposedly make a whole new that there would still be meat in it so it’s obvious there cooks are not cooking the food correctly and don’t care about the customers! Will not be returning especially when I got sick from your food! The so called manager of this place u should really be there to over see what your staff is doing and making sure the food is cooked properly so customers won’t get sick obviously something was done wrong and now I’m sick hoping my 9year who was also with us doesn’t get sick...

Title: A Flavorful Fiesta at El Rodeo Mexican Restaurant, Middleburg Heights, OHReview: From the moment I stepped into El Rodeo Mexican Restaurant in Middleburg Heights, OH, I knew I was in for a treat. This hidden gem in the heart of Ohio serves up some of the most authentic and delicious Mexican cuisine I’ve had the pleasure of experiencing.Let’s start with their ground beef seasoning - it’s nothing short of amazing. There’s a unique blend of spices that hits you from the first bite, offering depth and warmth that elevates every dish it graces. Whether tucked into tacos or sprinkled over nachos, the ground beef is a standout star that demands attention. The salsa also deserves its share of the spotlight. Fresh, vibrant, and with just the right kick, it’s the kind of salsa you find yourself dreaming about long after you’ve left the restaurant. It pairs perfectly with their crisp, homemade tortilla chips, making for an addictive start to any meal. But let’s not forget the sides, the unsung heroes of many a meal. The rice and beans at El Rodeo are all amazing in their own right. The rice is fluffy, subtly seasoned, and the perfect complement to the richer dishes. The beans, meanwhile, are creamy and comforting, a testament to the care and tradition that goes into every pot.In conclusion, El Rodeo Mexican Restaurant is a must-visit for anyone in Middleburg Heights looking for authentic Mexican cuisine. The atmosphere is warm and welcoming, the service is friendly, and the food is outstanding. It’s clear that El Rodeo takes pride in every dish they serve, making it not just a meal, but an experience. Highly recommended for a delightful...

Despite calling and reserving for a large party, they lost our reservation but were able to throw some tables together. We still had people standing after they played legos so part of our party was split at a separate table, and then 3rd we had to put the kids in a booth...and we made it work. Our drink order finally came out, wrong and incomplete. Now this might sound ridiculous, however believe me, I check my watch 3 times... we were seated at 5pm the final plate of dinner, which was ordered 3 times, came out at 6:44pm. About 1/3 of the orders came out reasonaly quick, after another half hour we had to reorder the 2/3 if the party that was waiting...and then there was that 1 last order they just seem to be unable to get right. Because we were waiting around for so long we noticed that they used the kids high chairs that are stacked in the center as a storage rack for their spray bottles of windex and dirty rags that they use to clean up tables. What was frustrating was people who came well after our table had ordered were being served before our table's service was completed. Our server, who introduced himself with a whisper, seemed like it was his 1st day on the job. We ended up seeing 3 different servers who definitely knew how to do their job, however the order was never placed right. Would never go back, I recommend not going here if you are expecting average service for a large group, it was far below average. Nonetheless, food was hot when it came out, the bill was WAY wrong and we made fun of the place during our long wait. Plenty of 2 and 4 person parties had come in and left looking happy but that just didn't happen...
