We really like this place so we go there quite often(Recently we've been going every week pretty much). This place doesn't look very appealing from outside. At least that's what we thought so we never bothered to try it. We are so glad that our friend recommended this place. I'll be honest here. Not all of their food is good. They do have some that we probably would not try again but the good stuff....they ARE really good. We usually get their wings. We just loooove them. The meat's just so tender and fall off from the bones so easily(when they are done well. Yes, they were not always perfect but I would say probably 85-90%, they were perfectly done). Tuesday is the day to go for wings since they are $3 off on that day. Well, you would see it on the menu from their website. BBQ Spaghetti, boy that's good. It sounded so weird and we were hesitant to try at first but we got hooked once we tried. Many of our friends who tried that at our recommendation liked it, too. Fish and chips, well it's my wife's favorite but even I who is NOT a fish person at all likes their fish. The batter is so crispy and just perfect. Triple pig is good. Meat loaf grinder is good. Lamb burger(it almost tastes like gyro), oh and also grilled burrito(pulled pork) is good, too. They really do have a lot of good dishes. We probably would not try their regular burger again though. It wasn't really anything special. Their buffalo chicken wrap wasn't anything special either. I forgot the name of the dish but something like "tip steaks sandwich", that goes on the list of not to try again. My wife's another favorite at BK is their gumbo soup. We usually get a bowl of gumbo instead of coleslaw for extra $3 and share. Be aware! It's got some kick to it. You would feel it in the back of your throat. Their chili is good, too. We recently tried their jalapeno corn bread and that's good, too.
I think their food price is quite fair($25-35 for an excellent meal for 2 people especially with some left over sometimes-(Their portion is quite generous) I think that's a really good deal) and the servers we've had so far have...
Read moreWe discovered the Brew kettle during a trip to Lowes in the area early last year. From the street, it looks like it is just a little restaurant in a strip mall location. Once you go inside, you realize they occupy almost the entire building. It's quite a large overall footprint with lots of seating.
We have always had a great experience during each of our visits. Most recently, we were celebrating a birthday and brought some folks that had never been there before. As we were being seated, we originally sat at a booth. A couple of our party were uncomfortable as the booths are quite shallow from back of seat to table top, so we ended up asking to move to a table location instead. Which resolved the issue no problem.
Food wise, the table ordered the Bavarian pretzel appetizer and the buffalo chicken dip. I absolutely adore the pretzel, it comes to the table very hot, very soft, and perfectly baked each time. Not a huge fan of the beer cheese (in general, nothing wrong with their version) but the honey mustard is unique and quite good. The buffalo dip was quite good and the first time we had tried it. The pretzel paired well using the dip as a dipping sauce.
Entree wise, I got the Cobb salad with the dill ranch dressing, we also got the chicken tenders with fries, and the fish and chips dinner.
My Cobb salad was consistent with the other times I have ordered it and is a good dinner portion size for sure. The fish and chips, from what I was told, was quite good but not quite to the level as they claim on the menu as "just like how Arthur treacher used to make"
Overall service was excellent and the waitress was very responsive at the table and stayed on top of beverages and boxes.
If you are in the area, the menu has enough variety you are sure to find something to...
Read moreWife and I decided we desired pretzels with mustard and cheese and snacks type of food rather that a full meal. She searched food near me and found brew kettle nestled in a all shopping plaza between Home Depot Walmart and Lowes in strongsville. Many times we had been to each and never noticed this place. The door clearly marked THE BREW KETTLE was locked, the door thirty feet south had a sign above door OPEN but no indication it was the brew kettle....on to the interior looks like three restaurants...far left sampling room for wine and beer, middle a funky shaped are that is...a restaurant? And far right- private party room with...separate door really? The food was what we wanted pretzel bear cheese and mustard....oh the mustard was obviously taken from a local Chinese place for eggrolls..it was fricken hot mustard! Corn bread was like a corn muffin pancake texture. But good enough I took some home. They not only make their own beer and wine...they make their own sodas. Pretty good. The seafood chowder was tasty order a cup not a bowl. Salads are run of the mill get anywhere but at least not the current dark green what is that taste leaves but good old useless to your body iceberg lettuce I still crave. The breaded chicken my wife liked it was on her salad.. the desert were also pretty good but I think they came from Costco. We will go back sometime and try real food, as everyone else seemed to like it...so good enough to try it again. Strange look...
