Giant Eagle Supermarket — Local services in Middlefield Township

I went in a couple times over the past week, mainly for prepared foods. The first time was after I called to find out if they had any fried chicken made. The gentleman stated that he had JUST taken a bunch out of the fryer and he asked how much I was looking for. I told him just one chicken, 8 pieces. He said he'd have some put aside for me. Upon my arrival, I found my chicken and it was, indeed, FRESH. As a side note, let me tell you that there's something very different about their fried chicken. It was INCREDIBLE, TASTY AND JUICY, JUST PHENOMENAL. I'm pretty sure they're using a new recipe. I'll be getting more today, as a matter of fact (if, and I pray, they have some!!). The next time there was a young man barbecuing ribs outside the store near the entrance. They were "St. Louis Style" which I knew nothing about so I asked him several questions about it and he was so friendly, accommodating, and patient with me. I decided to get a full slab and was rewarded with yet ANOTHER FANTASTIC MEAL! Whodathunk you could get such quality, tasty, prepared dinner from Big Bird?! I also must add that the cashiers, both males these past couple visits, were outstanding as well. Friendly, engaged in friendly small talk, and ensured that I got credit for my purchases by asking for my Giant Eagle card. Good job to everyone involved for making it a true pleasure shopping there! There is a pharmacy and a State Liquor Store...

Yesterday we tried out a different location for Giant Eagle out in Middlefield Ohio and I have to tell all of you out there reading that they have plastic bags. They don’t make you pay $.10 a paper bag that breaks the minute you put some thing in it. All giant eagles are not created equally. I learned that yesterday, the store layout, however, is very different some thing I’m not used to so it was kind a hard for me to shop as quickly as I normally do. Unfortunately, the produce there was very limited and not fresh. The avocados were so ripe that when you picked some up, you felt like you were going to squeeze it into your hand, the meat department in that particular location was not great. Their prices for meat were extremely high a lot higher than my normal giant eagle in Beachwood. The perk was the plastic bags I was so happy and so was my boyfriend…. I believe it every single giant Eagle should go back to plastic bags. Obviously the propaganda for those stupid paper bags was...

I usually go shopping in there alot and Chuck at the register has been rude in the past and acts like he hates his job and I Have seen him being rude and nasty to employees and other customers so when I went shopping on Sunday there was a older lady in line before me and she asked a question about a price of a item and he started yelling and being nasty to her and asked him if he could please check the price and he told her no screaming at her and while ringing up her items was throwing them and slamming them down and when she said can I give you my phone number he said no hurry up! I'm just like thinking wow wat horrible customer service!! Then wen he took care of me not friendly at all slamming my stuff down and throwing it as well before bagging it I gave him my phone number he seemed very annoyed and not friendly at all horrible...
