Be ware, I had a very bad experience, here. Be sure to read the other negative reviews of this jeweler. . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . .. . . . .. . . . . . . . . . . . . . I sold the owner a high end antique gold necklace, he paid me 30% less then it was worth, but I didn't realized it. He made me think that he really cared, instead he gave me far lower then the value of the piece, even lower then it's melt down value. He sawed into it with a saw and ruined any of it's value . . . . . . I should have gone to some one else. . . . The next visit, the owner offered $800 for some gold, from an ill family member. The owner was almost was in tears as I left, I wanted to go check with another place. I am glad I didn't trust him. I went to Garfield Refining in Philly, near Adams and Route 1,, they offered me $1350 for the same exact gold. This was without any change in the gold market price. Needless to say, I am not returning to The Exchange again! - - - - - - - - - So, I shouldn't have, but I stopped back another time. Why did I even try? The women was extremely rude, loud, intimidating, grabbing my gold, before I could hand it to her and she was rough with everything. The owner was very ignorant as well, he was testing some genuine Tiffany pieces for me and put a large dab of test acid on each piece, destroying the finish, even when I asked him to be careful. He didn't listen to me. If that wasn't bad enough, another woman came into the shop and before he gave her a quote on what she was selling, he asked her where she got it, acted like he cared very deeply and when she said it was from her father, who she didn't like, he quoted her a very very low price. . . . . . The next day at home, I saw he had messed up my Tiffany pieces so bad, that I couldn't even stand to give them to anyone I knew. But, sold them to the next person who offered me something for them. My heart was broken. . . . . . ....
Read moreClearly these people don’t want a good customer. I walked in with three silver coins and as I approached the front door, the lady looked down at her watch them at me and got a nasty annoyed look and as I rang the doorbell, she motioned to come in. And as I said I have some coins I’d like looked at for their value, she called a man who came from the back who was equally annoyed. He quickly asked where I got my coins. I told him eBay and said he wouldn’t assess the coins because I didn’t buy them from him. I asked if he would check to see if they’re actually silver coins and told him I didn’t think so because they didn’t pass the ‘ring test’. He looked at me confused as though he didn’t know what I meant. He told me to put the coin on the tray with an annoyed tone. I put one down, he picked it up and looked at it and weighed it saying it’s the proper weight and seems real. I said, "can you verify with the assay machine. He said, "It's a very expensive machine, saying the cost of the machine ($40,000?), and it takes 20 minutes for it to 'boot up'/'get ready', and since I didn't buy these coins from him, he wasn't going to assess the coins any further. So I said okay and walked out. Immediately after I walked out, they locked the door behind me and flipped the sign to 'CLOSED' and posted it inside the front window closing 10 minutes early. Terrible service! Stay away. There are plenty of other nearby coin dealers who are respectfull and friendly and surely offer better...
Read moreHi everyone. Today I brought in one of my Authentic Jewelry High End Brand Name Piece of Jewelry. Prior to sitting down in Person with Brian, we were outside having a conversation. To me, you'll never really find anyone like Brian, and his employees and shop and overall experience is absolutely great. When you go into his store, it's very nice and clean. There are a wide selection of jewelry of all types and forms which are beautiful. Now, Brian and I sat down and talked and Negotiated a price for the item I was selling. To start he offered me a certain offer. Within seconds of the offer without me saying anything he raised the offer, because with Brian, and his family owned business, there are truly no gimmicks, no surprises, no low balling on offers for items your selling ( which means Brian will pay more for your item then anyone in the area, as well they and Brian himself acquire a friendship and that is comforting to know ). There is no rushing, he takes his time with every one and he definitely did with me today and I was paid in cash and I bought a piece of jewelry a beautiful Sterling silver 10k Plated ring. If you want to be highly respected when walking into a store The Exchange Jewelers Inc. In Langhorne owned and operated by Brian, after meeting him today, I will never go anywhere else again but to Brian's store from now on. Brian your the best! See you soon...
