Red Lobster — Restaurant in Middletown Township

5 of us went here for my daughter's birthday. The food was lack luster at best. There was ONE saving grace, our server Christina. She was absolutely incredible.

4 of us ordered the Sea for 4 for $15.99, the other ordered the shrimp trio.

Issue #1 - we ordered our food and drinks at the same time. The drinks arrived right before our food did. That's when we found out that the bartender decided to take a break and not tell anyone.

Issue #2 - 4 of us ordered the sea for 3 for $15.99, three of them got their soup and apps before their meal arrived. And everything was hot for them.

Issue #3 - I was the 4th person who ordered the Sea for 3. I DID NOT get my soup and apps when everyone else did. I got mine when my meal came. The only thing hot was the crab stuffed mushrooms. My whole order was: lobster bisque soup and crab stuffed mushrooms as my appetizer knowing about the price difference, my meal was grilled salmon, baked potato and broccoli.

Issue #4 - I'm not sure how they can call that a lobster bisque soup. There were ZERO pieces of any type of lobster or seafood in it. It was this disgusting orange cream soup. The only thing good was the crab stuffed mushrooms. When I told our server about the food being cold, she apologized again for probably about the 15th time and took it back. I told her that at this point I DID NOT want them to recook it since we had waited so long already. She said the manager was adjusting the bill and she would bring it over shortly.

Issue #5 - When I got the bill and all they did was refund $2.00 for the extra charge on the salmon. When I questioned the bill she told me that she said that she even asked the manager if there was anything else they could do... they said no. SO, I paid $15.99 for 6 crab stuffed mushrooms. ...

During the week, btw 12 - 2 PM, it's not busy. The portions seem heftier than other locations. The staff have always been friendly, and the service excellent. I've been to this Red Lobster twice recently. My Asian Shrimp Chili wrap is no longer offered.😩 The grilled scallops & coconut shrimp were delicious. The biscuits as always were delicious, too. My pasta w/shrimp, baked potato (l ate the skin, it's good for you) - excellent, broccoli a little undercooked. I took it home with my leftover pasta. The Salmon New Orleans, or whatever it's called was a big disappointment. There was some spicy tomato, green pepper mixture that seemed more like a salsa. Ive been to Louisiana, & had authentic Cajun, Creole, & Blackened food. This was not it. I took the salmon home, wiped of the topping, reheated it, & it tasted like salt. I don't use salt, so it was hidden under that glob. The first time, it was a large birthday party 50+ people. My wait person was excellent. The second time, just four of us. The lady was nice, if a little forgetful. It may not have been her fault, hence no names. This will not stop me from returning. Pne note: My rewards points...

Great prices.i really enjoyed my visit some weeks back and I thought prices were good I gave it 5 stars and figured I'd be back. Well it went down hill from there,Saturday was HORRIBLE .this time I sat in the bar area, the female bartender was just too busy talking to her freinds,and relayed all her drinks to the other bartender what she can't make them? They seemed young and inexperienced and the male bartender seemed indifferent and stuffy. The food was cold the lettuce brown and limp my beer was warm and I watched it sit for 10 minutes before it arrived manager's seemed overwhelmed and showed lack of caring I just paid my check and left Too much talking over at the station where the servers were picking up their drinks. I even saw them on cell phones, if your employees would rather be on there phones fine.bar top was dirty and lots of dirty glasses.
