Above-and-beyond customer service saves the day
A huge shout out to the restaurant's GM, Dave, and his team for rectifying a simple mistake by delivering a level of customer service that will keep our family looking to Olive Garden to serve our "dining out" needs well into the future.
My family and I ordered a couple of Olive Garden's catering items through car side to-go this past Father's Day, as we were gathering Sunday afternoon with multiple households celebrating the holiday. The food was ready to be picked up on-time (ordered in advance as we purchased the lasagna), but when I returned home we found the order was missing our breadsticks and salad dressing.
I drove back to the restaurant and asked to speak to the manager on duty. Dave, the GM, met me about 60 seconds later. As I'm showing him the receipt, I can barely get out the words explaining why I've requested to speak with him before he says, "Are you missing breadsticks?" I'm assuming it was clear to the staff that 2 dozen breadsticks did not make it into a car side to-do order. I replied, "Yes, and our salad dressing." Dave immediately begins to apologize, not only for the mistake of missing food, but for the fact that I've had to make a 2nd trip back to the restaurant and having to do so on Father's day. He continues by assuring me the missing food items will be ready for me to take home immediately and that he would refund our entire order due to the mistake and inconvenience.
While I anticipated some level of customer service to try and make the situation right, I did not expect Dave to offer such a gesture and to do so genuinely as he did. It was clear he was disappointed that a customer of his had an event like this happen to them. It was an honest mistake and could have happened to anyone. Dave treated it personally and ensured I left his restaurant with nothing but a positive experience.
My family and I are very grateful of Olive Garden's superb customer service and we can't wait to order...
Read moreIm only giving a second star because i have had some really great service and food here before. However tonight was my birthday and they really made it an uncomfortable experience. It started with a half your wait. Then our server was sick and sniffing the snot back into her nose the whole time while serving our food. I quietly notified the hostess of the matter because I didn't want the server to get into trouble i honestly just wanted her to blow her nose before continuing to serve us. A few minutes later the server came back to confront us telling us she had allergies and explained she had taken her medicine and it should be kicking in soon. We told her we understood and she continued to serve us. The salad was horrible the tomatoes were squished and the lettuce was all big chunks. The pasta was ok but the one order was wrong and we had to wait a while for another one. When we mentioned the wrong part of the order to her she seemed annoyed. Each time she came back to bring something she would tell us her medicine was kicking in. It was so uncomfortable. I asked the hostess to speak to the manager and the manager I spoke to could not have cared less. I told her how bad this made my birthday and she didn't even apologize. She said she would take items off the bill and didnt come back. The server came back and asked if we paid I told her the manager was supposed to take money off she asked why i explained how upset we were with the service at which point my friend spoke up to tell the manager how this made my birthday very unpleasant again the manager didn't care but at least this time she comped the meal. She never said sorry and I was so embarrassed by the whole thing i will not be going to this location ever again. I dont have enough money to go out to eat often so this meant a lot to me especially on...
Read moreOn Friday, February 28, 2025 around 2:45 pm my family and I buried the matriarch of the family. One of her favorite places to eat was OG (Olive Garden), to honor her we decided to go there for what we consider a repast. I called and made reservations on for 20 to 25 people, maybe more yet at least 20, on Wednesday, February 26, 2025. I should've known it was going to be a problem when I received a call on Thursday, February 27, 2025 to confirm a reservation for 2 pm that day and I said, no it's for tomorrow. Now day of we all (26 of us) arrive and one waitress (Liz) comes and introduce herself. She proceed to get our drinks and we all looking around like this can't be real, only one waitress for us all. Yes, only one!! I go to speak with manager (Angel) comes out from the kitchen and I proceed to to ask is someone going to help Liz? His response that's it, we was told only 20 people. I said, wait so there's one waitress for 20 plus people and he said again we was told only 20. I said to him, first this is a Blackout day for Black people and yet here we are cause IG made the list due to OG supporting DEI and we're here after bury my grandmother and regardless of 20 people or more, we still should not have one waitress and that waitress ask for help and Jodi looks at her like she has 8 heads. Jodi was horrible, very sarcastic, and dismissive. Some of the family left and some went up front in the bar area to eat. It was the first time I've ever eaten at OG and received that type treatment. We went to the Langhorne, PA location for convenience of those traveling, to be close to 95 S., when some wanted to go to Rt. 1, maybe that's the where we should've went. It was just a horrific experience on an already unpleasant occasion. VERY DISAPPOINTED IN OLIVE GARDEN,...
