I am giving this place a one out of five. I am truly disappointed by the service at The UPS Store here which was previously a store that I would go and frequent regularly. I came to The UPS Store around 4:30pm on 10/21/2022. I came to drop off a package for UPS. This was a table that was shipped from a different location in the US . The box that it had come in was a box that had come from the store that ships the desk or table that said on the outside this is shipped from such and such company's desk or table. The box was completely sealed taped by the original individual who had shipped the package. There was no rips or tears minus one tiny tear on the corner of the box that was so tiny it was from moving it from the UPS truck onto my porch. When I took it to UPS , the QR code from amazon said that you are allowed to ship it to from a UPS store and request a shipping label completely from UPS as long as the package is shipped and ready to go. Upon my surprise I had arrived to a store where a male at 4:30 PM was rude to me about this package stating that there were several rips on the package and that it was not sealed which was completely and utterly untrue. It was ready for shipment completely sealed beyond a reasonable doubt and had should been taken from the get-go. He wanted to push me away and then he began to tell me that I needed to purchase a box on top of another box but he happens to not have the box for the particular shipment that was there at the store. He was even more rude when I asked what can I do to make sure that this ships and told me there was nothing I could do. Because according to him this package had been shipped by myself and I had personally packaged it incorrectly. RUDE and INCORRECT. I flipped the package over to show him that this is actually the original package and that the original tracking number and label you could barely see is on there. He proceeds to lie to me and say that he remember this package because HE WAS THE ONE THAT PACKAGED THE ITEM WHICH IS FALSE BECAUSE THE TRACKING LABEL FROM AMAZON SHOWS IT WAS SHIPPED FROM ANOTHER LOCATION IN ANOTHER STATE. ALSO WHY WOULD HE BE PACKAGING MY TABLE FROM KANSES TO ME. First of all this is completely uncalled for and it's kind of inappropriate to tell someone that you packaged a shipment from another location at your store which is false. Not to mention when I had showed him the label, he even got more angry at me and did not offer me any solution and told me maybe I can buy tape. So I bought tape and sealed this tiny sketching that wasn't even a scratch, Sent it to him and asked for a copy of the tracking number because I had a feeling he was going to do something to the package because he felt slighted by the fact that I pointed that this was the original package. Then three days later I noticed that the receipt of the tracking number was never processed and that the package had originally sent was sent back to my house with it completely ripped open by a box cutter that I'm pretty sure he did something too to change out the original shipping label and instead of just putting a new shipping label on top of it and never was the shipping label on top placed on there. It seems like he also opened the package which is completely crazy to me and utterly rude not to mention it's a offense to open someone sealed package or treat people that way just cause you don't want to deal with them. Next time going to staples or someplace in Newtown. This is uncalled for. 2024 update.The staff member at the front desk informed me that they do not accept packages in envelopes and that they must be in boxes. However, the package I was returning did not contain jewelry, and I am unsure why the staff member made this assumption sealed. I had received the package in the same envelope and had only added a sticker to it before returning it. I took the package to another UPS store, where it was accepted without issue. The staff members here are incompetent.

Received prompt attention by the associate behind the counter. I was in and out quickly. It is one of the better and nicest UPS stores. I would highly recommend using this hidden gem in the Clemens shopping Center

The staff is extremely rude here. I've already sent a 3 paged letter detailing my experience and frustration with this location. I await a response from Corporate Regional Management that resides over this location. Below are some of the things others experienced while I had my own issues with the store:

Another customer came in and dropped off packages to be delivered, but was looking to pick up a package as well. Al checked the mythical table for the package but it wasn’t there. The customer explains how he received the notification that it was delivered, and he receives the same reply of “I don’t know. You can call us and check tomorrow.” The customer provided him a look of bewilderment and disappointment but accepted the answer and left. Another woman is attempting to use one of the copiers and it experiences a paper jam. She tries to tell this to Al but he seems distracted with other things and is not helping her. The next customer comes in and needs to ship an item of value and was asking questions about what level of shipping she would need that provided tracking and insurance. He seemingly becomes irritated with the inquiry and tells her it “depends on what you want.” To which she replied, “I don’t know what my options are or what price it would be so I don’t know what I want.” Annoyed at this he reviews the information for her in a tone that is clearly perceived as frustration since he has to go over these items for the uneducated customer.

Worst customer service ever.

My experience today was terrible, the young man working tonight around 5p-530p was extremely rude to everyone in the store. Trying to force everyone to use the kiosk. I had my 4 month old with me and asked if he was able to from the counter still as 2 other women were having a hard time with the kiosk. He said yeah but you have to use the kiosk, I again asked for him to please just help me & told me they need us to use it based on their numbers, proceeds to tell me he has other tasks to do. Refusing to help me. I asked him just to do this one, as I have my 4 month old and just want to get in and out. I already waited in line and 2 others were having an issue. Sucked his teeth and with major attitude He scanned my phone took my package and it took all of 1 second. Doesn't tell me to hand a nice day. Nothing. Just totally rude. If he's so worried about numbers be sure he will make you lose numbers and customers. I will never return here. I will drive out of my way next time. As a customer service manager I would definitely have a conversation with my associate about how to treat customers and how to have better customer service or to find another job not dealing with the public. No other task is more important then a customer begging you for help with a newborn non the less. I wish I got his name. Highly considering calling the manager of this location. He needs to be spoken to. I was not the only unhappy customer tonight. If you have camera's in the store you can see this all going down even the body...
