My wife and I have been experiencing some issues with our current Tempur-Pedic bed that we have had for over a decade. Our bed is in excellent condition despite some comfort issues. As a result, we have been reluctant to begin the process of shopping for a new bed.
We enjoyed years of peaceful nights in our California King Tempur-Pedic mattress. Mid last year we purchased a memory foam mattress liner for our bed. The liner made a difference but unfortunately did not resolve our issues.
We stopped by Mattress Warehouse and was welcomed by Gerri. After a warm greeting and brief introductions Gerri got down to work. He began asking a series of questions regarding our current bedding and the reasons why we are looking for a new bed.
As we explained some of our recent pain points with our existing bed, Gerri was attentively listening. As we brought up different issues Gerri had immediate individual and joint recommendations for my wife and me.Ā As things progressed, we found that my wife needed a firm mattress while I enjoyed a soft mattress.
Gerri recommended that we move away from our huge California King mattress that we love so much and purchase individual TXL mattresses, 1 firm and 1 hybrid.
Gerri was able to answer all our questions. He was very knowledgeable with all of Mattress Warehouseās products. We grilled Gerri on several different models/types of beds, and he was quickly able to inform us of the differences between our current bedding, Tempur-Pedic and the type of sleep we would get from the non-Tempur-Pedic options we mentioned.
What made our experience 5-Star was Gerriās attention to detail. We came into Mattress Warehouse with a problem and left feeling confident that our issues would be resolved by our purchase. We have always valued our Tempur-Pedic bed and knew that we wanted the same quality with this upgrade. Thanks to Gerri we feel as though we made the right purchase without sacrificing anything.

I chose to finance my mattress and was told I could finance it as a loan as I did not want a revolving line of credit by getting a credit card. They ācalledā the district manager who assured them I could finance as a loan instead of credit card and they in turn gave me their word I would not be getting a credit card. Now, I have an unwanted credit card, and when I called the store and verbally confronted Gary, he placed sole blame on the other associate, Kitty. He aggressively called me sir as he tried to avoid blame and explain to me that I ājust donāt understandā. I requested a call from the district manager, and now that 5 days have passed, Iāve decided to write a review. Avoid mattress warehouse in Middletown at all cost. Telling whatever lie you need to tell to make a sale is underhanded and morally wrong. Thereās still the possibility of me returning the mattress and receiving a full refund. This way theyāll get a chargeback on their commission. Along with this, Iāll be sending my complaint to the better business...

We were told that we could exchange our daughters mattress for comfort and it took over a month and a half, several visits to the store and several phone calls to have the exchange happen. They then sent an email at 11pm stating they would be there the next day. Luckily someone was there at the house. However, the driver was rude, broke a plant on the way out with the mattress. He put the mattress on the bare driveway, then stated there was a stain (size of a nickel) and that he was not doing the exchange. He then left the mattress on the driveway and left without giving us a number to contact. In addition, we had ordered a twin mattress and was told that we had picked up the bed when we had not. This store is the worst and the company is terrible as well, because they allow poor customer service....
