Parking was easy, right at the end of a strip mall. Plenty of parking around. I came in after lunch, there were a few tables occupied. I was greeted immediately and seated. I must say that the service at this restaurant was really solid. I think both restaurants are well oiled machines when it comes to the service game. Anything I needed, I was getting, right before asking for it. The place itself is large, aesthetically pleasing, and had a large bar with a HUGE tequila selection.
I'm not drinking today, so I chose iced tea to drink. The iced tea was good, no weird taste to it.
Chips...were fried hard and able to handle any dips. Salsa...pureed medium with some chunks, cool temp, and a little spice to it. This stuff is so good that I could just drink it.
I ordered the Pollo Jalisco: $15.99 Marinated chicken breast cooked on the grill with Mexican sausage (chorizo) pineapple, jalapenos and cheese. Served with rice, beans and tortillas. Beans...were creamy, delicious, exactly what I want when I order refried beans. Rice...soft fluffy goodness. I can't complain. The chicken was tender and juicy. The chorizo cooked to perfection with that char that I love. The jalapenos added a nice spice & the pineapple married the whole thing together in bliss. To quote my notes, "forget about it, this is a home run". I could only manage to get down about half in one sitting. When I warmed it up later in the...
Read moreWe typically go here at least 1 or 2 times a month and I thought it would be a great idea to have my wife's birthday party here. On Saturday, June 4th at around 4 PM I had my wife's birthday party at Fiesta Tapia in Middletown, DE. on Main Street We ordered our food and drinks and my 9 year old daughter ordered a watermelon daiquiri (non alcoholic). While we were waiting for the food we were served our drinks. We were all having a good time, having fun and then the bartender comes by and takes my daughter's drink! The bartender told us and the server that he forgot to tell her (the bartender) "non alcoholic"!! As our daughter had already drank about a quarter of the alcoholic drink, no one from the restaurant apologized, no one said sorry and no one asked if she was okay. The restaurant acted like nothing ever happened. We were shocked that this could happen to a 9 year old. This is very disturbing for it to have happened! Some of the wait staff seemed to laugh about it and my daughter was laughing the whole time acting weird. We wanted to spread the word because we don't want to see or hear of another child being served liquor. The outcome could have been much worse if the bartender didn't notice this grave mistake the...
Read moreFirst off the food was great. That's why the 3 stars. The service was terrible. There was nobody there when we went on a Saturday afternoon. We had no hotsauce at the table, so I asked for it. The waitress shook her head yes and brought out sauce in a dish. We thought it a little weird, but was okay with it. I found out when the bill came that she charged us $1.99 for it. As we were eating a guy showed up and our waitress disappeared outside with him. After about 15 mins, another couple came in and we asked their waitress for our drink refills, which she kindly brought. She returned with him and seated about 8 other people, which seemed like friends or family, which is fine, just don't forget about us. After we finished eating, we waited 15 more minutes for our check. We once again asked the other waitress if she could help find our check. Our waitress finally came over and I told her she disappeared twice. She apologized and said she was at the other table hanging with them. I would go back, because the food was very good, but I would request not t0 have this waitress again. The other one was serving tables, making drinks, and rocking it. Sad experience being it was our...
