Excellent! a place for the family to do different sports, entertainment. If you are driving on the highway, go slowly to see the entrance, the entrance is in the middle of the road now with big gray Y.
At this time the pool is closed for a week, it would be good to support the Y by not bringing bottles, food in the pool area, ohhhh and not using the cell phone inside the saunas and thus avoid setbacks that clearly affect us all
I especially want to thank you for the support you provide by caring for young children for free every day for up to 2 hours. The service is from 8:30am to 12:30am in the afternoon apart from 4:30pm. As Connor's mother, I feel immense gratitude. I leave him for an hour and I can do some physical activity. For us mothers who choose to do Homeschool and are from another country without having a family, it is truly a blessing to have this service, in addition to the The girls are very friendly, they don't use screens, the service is really excellent. It is clear that if Mom or the main caregiver is well, everyone at home is well and physical activity, changing a little environment is wonderful, thank you very much, I recommend Swimming classes from 6 months, Gymnastics from one year and Squash from 3 years of...

Once the new and shiny veneer wore away- the problems here have grown to a point where I am considering canceling my membership here for good.
There are not enough pieces of equipment for the amount of members. The teenagers have made it more of a nightclub than a place where I feel like going. Moms bring their 8 year old daughters into the steam room and sauna- blatantly ignoring any rules- which are NOT posted in a clear place - the acoustics are so bad that when you are upstairs in the women’s locker room you have to speak loudly to hear over the spin class downstairs.
The only place that you will see braille for the blind is on the upstairs elevator….this one bothered me a bit as I cannot believe that there aren’t any blind people who want to go to the gym?
They opened the squash court- but you have to pay 30.00 if you want to play- And you’re not even allowed in unless you have a reservation
I’ve been to very many YMCAs across the country and I am so disappointed that this is what we have in Newport
The only reason I’ve stayed as long as I have is because of one class…..but to be honest it’s not really worth the...
Read moreAs a local parent, I had hoped the Middletown YMCA would be a supportive and inclusive environment for all families. Unfortunately, our experience has been disappointing. My child, who sometimes needs a bit of extra understanding, was not met with the patience or flexibility that one would expect from a community-centered organization. Instead of working with us to create a positive and constructive path forward, we were met with exclusion.
As an LGBT parent, I also did not feel particularly welcomed or embraced within the broader culture of the program. It’s disheartening to see such a lack of inclusivity, both in terms of staff approach and the general environment.
This could be a place that truly celebrates differences and meets kids where they are. Sadly, that has not been our experience.
This is quite unfortunate as there is a general lack of overall options in the area. Hopefully, the general management will shift there and families like mine can once again...
