Compucom Computers — Local services in Midland

Met Henry almost 20 years ago. I was looking for a company that could build custom, high-end, computers for my one-person business. Explained Henry my job requirements: Designing and building websites for major companies in Mid-Michigan; databases for the pipeline industry mandated by federal and state laws; and business accounting databases used in annual reports and end of fiscal year taxes. Bottom line: The computer cannot fail because many times they would be short notice projects that no other company wanted to take on. I could tell he truly cares about customers and he knew his stuff--one of the most customer-oriented, professional, people I've ever met. The first computer he built lasted eight years without any problems. The next almost 12 years, no issues and the only reason I just bought my third from Compucom is the new software will soon not work on a it. Outstanding work and because of Compucom I never let a customer down! Forgot to write a review though this happened months ago, but I remembered for some reason to do it! The man who works this store is VERY generous and friendly! When I shattered the glass on my laptop screen, he put in an order for a new one, but got the wrong size twice from the same company (one too small, and one too big) which delayed me getting my laptop back a bit. It wasn't even long enough to bother me all that much aside from a little annoyance, but when I got there after he was finished putting the new screen in after finally getting the right screen size, he even refunded some of my money because he felt bad I had to wait longer than his estimated time! Highly, highly recommend Henry at Compucom Computers!!! After my daughter’s new puppy chewed her laptop screen, I started calling computer service shops around Midland to access and download her tax files. (We have no interest in repairing the laptop because the operating system has exceeded the PC’s capacity.) The first place said they do not work on Apple Computers. The second place handed me a brochure for data recovery services and said it could cost anywhere between $200-$2000 to get the data off of it.
